Originally yes , from the old nipples and the new ones , I wound PTFE tape onto the threads to reduce this and eliminate it from the equation , sounds like it could be a master cylinder issue then more expense on a bike I no longer care about or wish to spend any more money on .

Well you've either got air in there still or, air is getting into the system somewhere.

As said above, master cylinder is the next place to look I woudl think...

Fizz , it`s been bled 3 or 4 times and no sign of air , I did it the traditional way with pipe/pump/open nipple/squeeze lever/close nipple , Mityvac and have even syringed into and out of the system . Master Cylinder looks like the next culprit .

I was hoping to avoid all this by buying SV1000 calipers the other week and fitting them with the adaptors as the brakes are woeful anyway , and that debacle has turned out to be a waste of money as well and I am spending money on a braking sytem and getting nowhere ,which is aggravating me even more to the point where I nearly traded in for a Z750 the other day just to get rid .

thats all to much lol the only way fluid would leak through a bleed nipple is if it was rong nipple craked or the actual caliper was corroded or cracked

When the nipple is cracked open it can actually suck air past the threads and into the bottom of the bleed nipple and back out into the bleeding system , giving the appearance of air in the system , the giveaway is lots of teeny tiny air bubbles in rapid succession that look a bit frothy .

Fair enough, providing you've not got a puncture in your lines (think you'd notice) and the banjo bolts are all torqued up right (new copper crush washers?) i'd say it's safe to rule out the lines and pistons.

If the bleednipples were leaking then guess you had nothing to lose with the plumbers tape (i'd make sure they're not still leaking though - put water on them see if you see bubbles). Could be the mastercylinder that's the issue...
mClinder seals kit is around £15.

Edit - if you order a mastercylinder repair kit and it doesn't fit this is when alarm bells should ring! It's what happened to me, thought it was extremely unlikely to happen to anyone else but spotted (and pointed out) another forummer had the same issue. Infact there's an easy way to find out; the bore diamerter of the m'cylinder is stamped somewhere on it. e.g ' 5/8" '

The nipples aren`t leaking as I cleaned everything down with contact cleaner and there was no residue afterwards over a period of 24 hours and the bike was in use as well . New copper washers were used and correct Torque was used on the Banjo bolts .

Cool, I'd look to the master cylinder then - sounds like it's either that or one of those mistery faults that makes you want to slam your head into a wall.

You're not alone I'm going to have all this soon - just bought some shagged calipers
