They are I always enquired when buying insurance, never found one that did want the certificate up front. A few said you'd need it in the event of the claim but when I asked whether a receipt from the dealer that fitted it would suffice they said yes.

My first year on the SV was about £470 TPFT with one claim (this was not my fault but was up in the air at the time of purchasing insurance, I hounded them once the claim got settled and they reluctantly sent me a cheque for the difference - around £200 IIRC)

thats pretty good i was paying 550 FC on my sv when i was 21. bikesure and they didnt need a certificate.

500 is good lol i payed 900 TPTF at 20.

£500 is about what i payed for the 1st year.
And if you have a ecu and its all plugged in my insurance said i had 2 weeks to get it to them and so i rode bike down to Suzuki...£30 lighter i had a certificate and all. Send off ( make a copy aswell ) and all was sorted.
