I thought only the rear subframe was different on a K3?

No, a lot more than just the subframe but only subtle, barely noticable differences.
I think the pegs sit a little higher on a k3 than later bikes, and i have been looking at woodcraft rearsets on the web and their site says k3 levers fit there rearsets but k4 onwards don't.

God damit. I got held up at work today so I've not managed to do this and probably wont until tomorrow night.
![]() If someone else can do it sooner for you then fair enough. |

Matt, will you be offering gear shift rods (or a small fitting to extend the existing rod)? As on my lowering (actually they're raising plates but that didn't stop me) I needed to extend my shift rod, and IIRC I had to fanny about to get the rear brake switch to work correctly.

I'd still be happy to bring my bike along if your local to Ormskirk, however it won't be until Friday night at the earliest, or Saturday morning. I also have a K3 brake/ footrest/plate etc I could bring with me (but not the gear change side).
Don't need any raising/lowering plates so happy for you to send them to Guru (seeing as he was the 1st to reply) if you wish. |

Why just make the peg brackets, why not make full adjustable rearsets?

How are you getting on with measurements for this?
I'm after a set so I can get my 6 foot 2 frame onto my Minitwin race bike comfortably and this would save me from making my own plates up. I'll second the gear shift rod extension or longer bit. I might even need to make up a new rear brake pipe too as by the time I'm done the original might not fit. Cheers. Jody. |
