As daft as it sounds, see if you can get a test ride - about the only thing I can say is that it'll be totally different to an SV...

Given a lottery win, one of the bikes that would probably fall into my dream garage would be a Rocket 3 roadster, because sometimes you want a relaxing cruise instead of a mad thrash.

I do actually like the Fury (apart from the wheels and the name). But no I wouldn't buy one for the simple reason having sat on one in a show room I know it is just made of cheap plastic.

Everything on the bike is plastic, even the chrome. And I really do mean cheap plastic. Horrendous. The switch gear feels as if it will last 5 minutes and the rest of the plastic sound so thin I think it would simply melt in some mild Autumn sunlight. Cheap and nasty is all I can say about it. Shame.

FFS it's got a 1.3 litre engine, but it produces less power than my SV (54.7kW vs 42.5kW) and it weighs 100kg more (198kg vs 303kg wet). It's definitely in the Hardly Movingson school of motorbike design.

Perfect for those people who like plenty of chrome to polish and the occasional Sunday morning cruise along the prom at Brighton when the sun is shining.

Bamburgh Castle very nice.

Back to the VT. I'd take it out for a nice long test ride along one of you favorite routes, then ask your self "would I ride this more than the SV"
