Default Re: Insurance joke!

The reason why I asked about the details being entered correctly is for the reason the Jayne pointed out. I have in the past had a similar issue, I entered my details correctly through a comparison site and then phoned the cheapest one to buy. They went back through the details and added £100 to the price as the date of 1st registration was slightly different to what they originally had.

So I pointed out a few things to the operator of how I entered all details correct and to the best of my knowledge, and had accepted the price that they had advertised to me (comparison sites are not as independent as you might think). And based on that fact if they didn't honor the price I would complain to the ASA who have the power to impose a £50,000 fine for false advertising, Trading Standards who have the power to shut them down, and complain to the Insurance Ombudsman who will charge them £500 just for the privilege of hearing my complaint.

Surprisingly after consulting with a supervisor they agreed to honor their quote, strange that...
