Aaaah....i was wondering if there were some unknown T&Cs.

For £30 i would probably get excess cover, but its not the bargain it seemed.

Cool, cheers for pointing that out.

I forgot to mention my visor on my helmet is scuffed, can't remember impact, no sore head just remember sliding on my face (hence visor scuff). No bad marks on helmet shell. I've read around on the forum that Arai test crashed helmets with X-Rays. I'm a radiographer! Excellent. Going to be x-raying my helmet tomorrow if there's a quiet moment in casualty. Now you know where your taxes go :-p Maybe even blag a CT scan! Maybe not. I figure x-raying it will help me see any indents or cracks in the inner lining. It's a Shoei XR-1000 so don't fancy paying another £250 for a new one.

I know that Arai do X-Ray lids after an off, and I understand why you are doing it but my question would be do you know what your looking for?

I've looked a a few X-Rays over the years, both mine and other peoples and I can't tell if they've broken something unless I can see bone sticking out of the skin! But then I'm not a radiographer. If I were you I'd do it out of interest (post up a pic cause that would be interesting to see) but also get an expert to take look.

I've been in this position myself, I wrote off a very nice lid some years back, scuffed visor and chin from a nice impact where I mashed my arm up. As it was scuffed and took an hit, I just decided its done its job time for a new one. Just my two cents.
