My mother told me that she went to school with a Teresa Green.

And in a previous job I had to make a telephone call to a Mr Gary ******, how I made it through the answer phone message is beyond me.

At school I knew somebody whose cousin was blessed with the name Edward Kedd, or Eddie Kedd as he was known by childish dimwits, like me , for obvious reasons. Poor fella.

forgot to mention: the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread was Gaylord Focker from 'Meet the Fockers' such a funny film!

There is a shop in Manchester that makes me chuckle every time I go past it, 'Gordon Bennett' (am guessing that's the name of the bloke who owns it... )

The last place I worked had a supplier rep called Joe King - "How much?? You must be Joe King!"

Mildly amusing the first time you hear it, soon got very tedious though.

I once got a phone call from a Rick O'Shea (seriously!) ... the guy is (or was) an account manager for IBM ... only I didn't know this at the time, thought it was my boss winding me up and told him politely to "do one"
