For a younger rider they charge a fair bit in my experience. I think it may have something to do with how many <25s tend to smash the things to bits. Maybe more common when they were first out but I think it is considered a high risk.
Just saying, do some quotes before jumping in with both feet!

Got a few quotes, TPFT for £144, haven't spoken to my insurers yet (just renewed last week), so am going to do that once I've seen the bike to see if a multibike policy would be cheaper.
Had a chat with my brother today, turns out that the only reason guy wants to shift it so cheap because he's probably going to have his license revoked following the no-insurance and pulled thing, it's apparently fairly mint. I'll take it with a pinch of salt, but could be good. |

No joy seeing it yet...I had something crop up Wednesday night and tonight I was supposed to go around, but couldn't get in phone contact with him. Every time a phone rang it'd disconnect straight away, whether he was ringing me or I was ringing him. Bloody annoying. Haven't got any texts back so assuming he's somewhere with no signal. Hopefully seeing it tomorrow or Sat now :S

Got to see it today. Not impressed with the descriptions given to me. Definitely not mint, looks like it's not been crashed, but it's got quite a few scratches+minor scrapes. Rear seat's a bit pitted, tank has a bit of light rust on it.
On the flipside, it sounds awesome, and accelerates stupidly fast due to weighing about as much as a milk-carton. Was not very impressed with the alarm system - you can't start the bike with a key, it's done with a fob. Ignition does nothing other than steering lock. Pretty awful. Think I'm going to pass up on it, but I'll put some pics up later, someone else might be interested. He's asking £400 for it. |

Thats a shame, sounded like a bargain. I'll offer him £50 for it if he delivers it to me.
