I'm on my tenth year with SV's. First three and a bit on a SV650SK3 and all the rest on my SV1000SZ. Still loving it.

Still got my '99 Curvy I bought 3 years ago for £900 when I returned to biking, I've thought about replacing it but never have.
It does everything I want a bike to do reliably, from a 10 mile commute to work to a 2500 mile spin across Europe. It owes me nowt and I think I've become rather attached... |

SO we do still have quite a few SV between us (not counting Jambo and Sid with their 3 hundred SV in 3 thousand parts.)

I like my Curvy.
When the Mrs does her DAS (which should be sometime this year) It'll be her Curvy though. I'll still be here (and maintaining it for her). |

I still have my first SV (SH1) though that hasn't been used for some years now. My current SV (SH2) is my everyday bike. Over the years a few others have passed through my hands, and I have a good stock of spare parts.
I also have the TZR250, a couple of other bikes, and very little room in the garage. |

Bought a new SV 2 years ago. Part exed for a new GSX-R600 last year. Back on another new SV this year - to compliment my cruiser which I swapped for the Gixxer. I do miss the craziness of the 600 sometimes but I tend only to ride the VN in the better weather. The SV is my rainy day bike and it fulfills that role much better than the Gixxer. I think your best bike should be for nice dry roads. The SV 650 is a wonderful bike for the money. The next sporty bike I buy will have a bigger engine - the only downside I find to the 650 is having to keep in a gear where the revs are up.

Yes, 1x SV1000, & 2x½ SV650.

Me too, although I bet my clock's bigger than yours
![]() I've just bought a Gixxer 750 though, so I need to get rid of the SV as I don't have a garage to keep a 'spare' bike in and I'm not allowed to keep one in the house...boooo! ![]() |
