Rubbish, you havn't adjusted your levers, there is NOTHING wrong other then the fact the levers are set up wrong in the factory, undo the nut and drop them a little. Even if it is 'wristy' this has NOTHING to do with his hands going numb.
Yes it is...the chap may have poor circulation too but that is a side issue.
If you put a part of the body under abnormal pressure or funny angles then it will create some interesting results...a bit like stress positions...it will start to hurt...and cause numbness.
Yet another ****ing contest on this site.

You siad the SV is wristy, by that I thought you meant that it's hard on the wrists. If it is hard on the wrists then you need to alter the angle of the levers.

Also when riding your arms/wrists should be parallel to the ground, if the are not then your wrist will be kinked and yes, then you will get pain in your wrists.

If you look above then you will notice 2 things.

It's not the bike, it's the RIDER!

Sort your levers out and drop your elbows a little and it won't be 'wristy'.

"****ing contest". Hardly. Riding with your forearms horizontal is all very well on track, show me anyone who rides like that on the road...

****ing contest? Merely a discussion based on my own understanding of what I know...
Wristy in the sense that the SV has a sporty seating arrangement which means that the body is leaned forward and so therefore putting weight on the wrist...maybe less than a ZX-7R but more than a Hornet.

Ok, well you must be right then eh?

Try gripping the tank with you knees and not hanging on to the bars, I understand that this is the correct way to ride.

Just to clarify, is it really pins and needles while going along, or a buzzing when stopped? Pins and needles is restricted bloodflow caused by hand position, clothing, squeezing etc, but what I tend to get is a buzzing/vibrating style pins and needles when I stop after my longish commute. (operators of pneumatic drills get the same I think) I think this is down to the bike vibrating at an annoying frequency when motorway riding, and can be stopped potentially by using different bars, weighted grips, or possibly changing the revs while riding. I still get these tingles though, not found a way to stop them.
