iirc someone added "ram air" to a curvy. He detailed his project with lots of pictures on a dedicated web site.

Can't find it now though. It was blue, if that helps

resurrecting this one.

If RAM air doesn't make such a difference at 120 - 130mph why are so many top end race ZXR400's all
have RAM air and why did Kawasaki develop a RAM air box for their racers in the 90's (which is copied today).

And by RAM air I dont mean the hoover tubes.

I think this may be a winter project for me, I'll get some builder foam and strong plastic bags to get a mold built.

Must av been a mahoosive tube to swallow a bike that size, am assuming it swallowed the rider too with all the blood and guts?

Why do I look at the CF tank and think thats a reasonable price?

Out of interest, what sort of air filter would be required for a ram air setup on the SV?

Setup you can buy from somewhere, can't remember name, uses pod filters on flats inside airbox. "Airbox" you end up with has no lid, it seals against underside of tank.

The one I saw was a fully sealed airbox not using the tank with a carbon fibre inlet duct.
