You know, I should have said my post isn't related to Hopper (although the thread was started about that and I've hijacked a bit - sorry). The ebay thing kinda got me going and the thing in general about buying something in good faith and not having that good faith reciprocated. More of a general comment really.

Hope its resolved soon fellas (that's me done).

A pensioner hires a builder on recommendation of her neighbour because she trusts her neighbour even though the builder is a stranger. If the builder was a crook, then the honest neighbour wouldn't recommend, right? They may both be fools but they may have the best intentions towards each other. So to me the Org is more than a name and an email.
As far as it goes yes.

But I wouldn't vouch for aesmith, bootoo, or daverushton. (Random picks from the members list, no offence guys)

Because although they're on this forum I've never read a single one of their posts or interacted with them in any way.

The classifieds section here isn't a recommendation based thing, anyone on here can post in it. There's the org, and then there's the org.

From bitter experience on EBAY, I always send anything by recorded delivery or larger items by courier

Stuff will get lost and I have had items delivered nearly 3 weeks after posting.

But its rare
