I think it's about 10 miles south of Chips n Ham, Avon M/C tyre are made there.

Correct! it is just down the 350 from chippenham and the Avon M/C tyres and Car tyres are made here. infact i work at the very place they are made!!

its actually quite intresting seeing how they are made and all the processes that go on to make a round bit of rubber that most of us take for granted!!

Then there's a chance we have met, I did a factory tour a few years ago. There's me thinking they just mould liquid rubber round a canvass shell. If they still do tours its certianly an eye opener.

I bought Avons on the strength of the tour, good decision IMO.

org discount on Avons then??

dunno about a .org discount but i most deffinatly do!! 30% on car tyres, although if you know the right people and you agree to test them, most things are possible.... just have to let them know how they perform and how many miles have done, any problems etc... although it helps if you work here!!

Don't know if we still do the factory tours to members of the public, i am forever going out and lookin about talkin to people in the factory so i could look in to it if some people are intrested. its alot more indepth then just some liquid rubber in a mould!!!
