The reason I ask is because I've just bent my front wheel and cannot get a half decent SV650 wheel for reasonable price. Do bandit wheels fit? Anything else?

Alex,
Where are you? There is a guy in Leicester who sorts out damaged alloy wheels. Apparently Ducati wheels are so soft they buckle unbelievably easily. Unless your wheel is like a 50p piece he may be able to save it. Nick |

And alex seeing I've seen a pic of that pothole (if its you in the MCN the other week) new one would be cheaper. EDIT what you defining as cheap as SH has eluded to?
I think pointy wheels fit if all the bearings are swapped, put a Q up about it in the Mini twin section they should know. If your thinking nicking off a bandit it'll have to be a pre K1 (speedos changed for the update), but check again

Yeah that was me in MCN. Nasty pothole as you've seen.
Reasonable price = £50 give or take? |

Alex,
Yes mate, Dave East it is. I assume you are local then? My bike is a bit away from being on the road, If you wanted to use my wheel until you get a replacement then that is OK by me, just as long as you didn't go anywhere near the pothole again!! Let me know what you want to do Nick |

I'm actually far from local, but have heard great things about Mr East and he's been repairing wheels of mine for a few years now (I have a few NC30's which are not known for stiff wheels).
Thank you for your very kind offer, however I do not need the bike to commute/use as I have other bikes and a car. I intend on getting the wheel sorted by the end of the month though.. Thanks guys |
