First one looks like a water tower conversion from Grand DesignsI think so too. Work was still ongoing. Made a dramatic image as I came around the bend.

Snatched a quick ride out late this afternoon but only got two pictures as I didn't want to stop riding to take more. Llyn Tegid and a couple of very nice looking Trumpets.

Ha ha! Just some of the colours had that hint of autumn about them. But yes, the same here now; some of the leaves starting to turn, but a week of summer weather headed our way.

Another beauty of a day! Had a run to Rannoch tea room for some lunch.
Fed the friendly chaffinches as I ate :p
It was meltingly hot though, so on the way back I took a dip in the loch to cool down. Very refreshing!

Boring jargon alert: In the electricity supply industry they're known as towers, not pylons.

DarrenSV650S

Ha! Not only did I spell pylon wrong, it's not even the right word. That's embarrassing haha

Ha! Not only did I spell pylon wrong, it's not even the right word. That's embarrassing haha
I don't care - you remembered me, a complete stranger really. I'm honoured, woo hoo!

Oh, and I just corrected a typo I left in my own post, so clearly we'll both have to try harder if we're going to be perfect! Besides, my meagre added comments are merely a raindrop in the sea of brilliance of your many photo offerings so it'd be a poor do if you were just criticised for the odd spelling mistake along the way. That certainly wasn't my intent so sorry if it came across that way.

Jargon's a weird thing - I'm sure there are many, many words in common use where a usually used industry term is different.

Here's another, slightly more relevant to biking: In highways, "pavement" is the term used for the 'black top' tarmac surface for streets and roads etc., not the pedestrian path bit at the side that most people mean when they use the word.:study:

Last time out on the R Nine T before its replacement arrives. I’ve really liked it. Quite confidence inspiring and the Knobbly tyres are just what’s needed on most of the crappy roads round here. Big lazy twin can still get a shift on. Build quality is first class.
