One saturday. 7 friends. 3 BMWs. 1 Harley. 1 76' cb750f. 1 bandit. And 1 SV. We had a buddy choose a random location. Turns out he planned to go from southern Chicago to Iowa city. We followed blindly on a 600 hundred mile run round trip. We left at nine in the morning and got home at 11 pm.

It's Y Bwa, built in 1810 by Thomas Johnes over the original course of the road from Cwmystwyth to Devil's Bridge to celebrate the golden jubilee of George III.

"‘The Arch’ or ‘Y Bwa’ in Welsh, situated between Devils Bridge and Cwm Ystwyth this location has the delightful name of ‘The head of the pass of lost existence’. The Arch itself is a stone structure which was erected in 1810 by the Thomas Johnes family of the nearby Hafod estate to commemorate the golden jubilee of George III. Until recently this landmark construction spanned the road but following damage to its structure by a vehicle a new road construction now bypasses it."

Had a Great Little 336 mile Ride out over a couple of days.
Firstly went over Via work in Catterick to pick up my Diamond Jubilee Medal from work, then onto my folks place Via Layburn and Hawes, Ribblehead, Devils Bridge and then the west Lake Districk to my folks house :0) Went to the Furness Classic Bike Club meeting for a few pints...
Then onto Preston, The Land of the Brave (or sick in Daves case :0(... GWS Bud )
then an Easy start this morning to aviod the WETNESS that I fought off around Skipton, then had a Hoon Home :0)
