Well its at 255 at the mo, without labour - but that is with a pair of part worn tyres put on (£100)

I reckon you're looking at £350ish.
Service apx £180. Apx 3 hours labour for the rest (@ £40/hr) = £300 and a bit for battery and any small spares. |

So vague, rectify flat spot. That could simply be fuelling, or a big can of worms.
I guess your man is assuming problem is carb setting.

When you leather the throttle at high revs? Blocked mains or otherwise running lean.
Running an oldskool bike like that you'd best learn how to clean the buggers yourself ![]()

You shouldn't need to dyno a standard bike to diagnose a running issue.
