Default Bikes a write off

Well folks I guess there's a first time for everything. Last Saturday I came off my bike

Not a scratch on me as I was in full gear but the bike is a complete wreck. Here is a few pictures. Looking at where the bike snapped in two. It was right on the weld, should a frame snap like that in a relatively slow speed low side??

I hit nothing. The front lost grip in a left hand bend. I went down and the bike slid about 30 metres down the road and hit the kerb.

Anyways a frame should only fail at extreme levels of stress on the material Inc welds.
Normally a failure like that would be if the bike hit a tree or similar at speed and you in bad mess or worse.

Good thing is your in 1 piece mate

I think Suzuki might what to see that. I remember a few years back there was a issue on GSXR1000's that required a recall to have a brace glued to the frame. Not sure what year that was but just something to think about...

ooopppssss. glad your ok.

no a frame should not snap there if it has been welded properly. looks like it has ripped the cartridges apart as well, did the front get trapped in one of the legs of the barrier?

+1 to get in contact with Suzuki.

bike now looks like a drag bike

oohh and don't touch a sodding thing till the assessor has had a look.
