Make sure to get it monitored and that its healing right, Friend had a dodgy consultant who didn't notice his collarbone not meshing up properly and had to have it broken again (twice) to re-heal

Oh bad news but at least you'll get the riding in the rain phase out the way and be ready for the real proper riding weather. Shame you couldn't get the collarbone plated and pinned. I waited for 3 months for my collarbone to heal. It didn't and ended up having it plated and pinned. I was riding 4 days after the operation. Only reason I had to wait that long was because I had blood clots so they wouldn't let me out of the hospital for a few days. I turned up at the first physio appointment on the bike. Physio wasn't exactly impressed.

Mate glad you're ok.

You tool, what you go an do that for? I know you wanted a new bike but you have to actually write it off for the insurance to get you that gixxer.

Let me know if you need anything mate, can provide free spannering and tool rental

Or anything else you usually do with your hand...

Don't use all the drugs, save some for a good party once you're healed up. But its good to know you're ok. Oh, and welcome to the crashing club.

You know what, I knew when he was moving in that he was lazy, but breaking a collarbone just so I have to unpack all his stuff is just extracting the urine!

Bike's not too bad - the LHS lower is pretty much wrecked...the crash bungs he had were the poorest designed items I've ever seen, and their only function seems to be to tear big chunks out of the lowers when the bike goes over. The bar-end and indicator did a better job of protecting the bike than they did.

Total damage is:
1 knackered LHS lower
1 very slightly scraped nosecone
1 very, very, very slightly scraped tail panel
1 knackered indicator
1 scuffed mirror
1 knackered bar-end
1 very slightly ground down clutch-lever ball
1 snapped-off gear-lever (currently fixer-peg'd up)
1 slightly bent footpeg hanger, but will probably easily bend back out

For those wondering about where it took place, it's here:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?ll=53....01242&t=h&z=19
Heading southbound on the A49 it changes from a dual-carriageway into a 4-lane road, with two filter-lanes either side of the dual carriageway. The filter-lane to turn right then has a piece of kerb sticking out for some unknown reason, and then goes back into being a filter-lane again to turn right towards the house. Saxo's moved into the filter lane too early, not seen the kerb (loads of people do this as it's a bugger to see in the dark), and mounted it. He managed to get his bike about 15 metres further down the road before it stopped, so major hero points for that. Looking at his helmet he also faceplanted the pavement. Good show, old chap

I tried to warn you. You've not fed him have you?? You'll NEVER get rid of him if you've fed him
