Here's an idea, whilst they are MOT 'in it! Find the local post office and then you can get the certificate and pop down there on foot or jump in a cab, get the tax and then make your way bk to the MOT place, I'm sure they won't mind looking after it for 15mins.

I'm sure you can only ride with no MOT if your going to and from your test station. Tax is easy and can be done online as your probably aware, you will be able to print off a receipt until your disc returns. You don't need MOT to book TAX, well I didn't when I had a similar situation to your self with my car.
