Re: New Continental Road Attack 2

I did really like the original road attacks on my 99 SV650s I could see how they might start to square off a little with a lot of highway mileage though... I hear the new 2 series are better on the...

Re: Pointy snorkel removal

I've had that newer SV1000 snorkel in my airbox for over a year now... the newer SV1000 had a slightly shorter tube than the early sv1000 so the late model one is the one you want...

It is better...

Re: Dunlop RoadSmart VS Conti Road Attack?

Yes I also thought about the sport attack but I hear they don't get the same kind of miles as the Road Attack.... longevity is another factor I'd consider... even though it is not a major factor in...

Dunlop RoadSmart VS Conti Road Attack?

I had a set of Road Attacks and loved them on my 99 SV650s...

Now I have a 06 SV650s with about 6000km on the stock D220 turd-circles... my god these are a terrible tire... they are a squarish...

Re: How bad are standard tyres.

Yeah I hate them... but they will do in a pinch.. I just dropped a load on the full M4 exhaust for it.. so the tires will have to wait... I don't think I will be doing any real hard riding for a...

Re: Motosliders

You may need a deeper 17" socket if you have rather shallow sockets I had to get a different 17" because the one I had was a touch to shallow to get a good bite on the nut (yeah I lost the 17 socket...

Re: Does the stock system seperate?

2003 is different than all of the bikes, 99-2002 years are the same and then 2004-2006 are the same, 07 and 08 have O2 sensors I believe so I think 07, 08 may be the same

that stock one pictured...

Re: Fuel Light

I think it probably has something to do with the shape of the tank and the shape of everything underneath it... I'd imagine the fuel gage would show full one minute and then when it hit some mark...

Re: sprocket and chain Q

I believe D.I.D VM chains are what come stock from the factory...

I prefer the VM2 as it is a bit better... but yeah it will work nicely

Never heard of the sprocket company though...

Re: sprocket and chain Q

I'd give it a good cleaning with some kerosene and check the chain to see if the links move smoothly or of they are binding or kinked... the sprocketdoesn't appear hooked yet.. but it is worn.. any...

Re: Help me choose between an 06 and an 08

haha... I'd say... if that is actually the case... and it wasn't user damage to the bike... it literally felt like the bike was a little heavier yet down on power by 10-20hp over my old 99

The...

Re: Help me choose between an 06 and an 08

Yeah... I think I'll have it for quite a while... and when I get the 15f/46r or 47r sprockets on... I think it will add some more excitement... but I'll hold off on that for a while... the exhaust...

Re: Any idea what exhaust system this is?

Yeah I know... but it gives an idea of what they sound like... and I usually try to catch several of the same one on the same bike (gen1 vs gen2)

When I posted the original link I really meant it...

Re: Help me choose between an 06 and an 08

I didn't think there were any restrictions on the Canadian 08 bikes, I test drove one with a yosh slipon.. think it was an rs-3 but that bike had no mid range punch like my old 99SV had... I didn't...

Re: R6 Throttle Tube
