1. sv400, anybody know anything about them?
2. will a 650 lump fit in a 400 frame?

Mechanical speedo as well, maybe? Wee things like that. Different pillion seat and centre plastics on the rear, on the early ones at least (no grabrail or cutouts for grabrail) Higher rev limit if memory serves too, I seem to remember someone swapping black boxes.

Have a look at svspares.com, at least I think it's .com, might be .co.uk, they do bits for 400 and 650 so should know any differences. I have had bits from them and found them to be very good.

Really...

Can't resist the derail...

So if I were to find said SV400 box and plug it into my SV650 would that mean I would raise the rev limiter? And considering I would be piloting, how long would my engine last?

Do not quote me, but yes, I believe that's the case. And y'know... I still wouldn't I doubt there's a lot of power up there on a stock-ish SV anyway, the power drops hard towards the standard limiter. No doubt Zadar'll know more about this, I'm dealing in total hearsay

I know I've looked at the Dyno charts to, I just can't help wanting an extra 2,000 revs; it takes me back to my IL4 days! (This might just end up line my futile quest for 7th gear).
