Hi there all, this is my first post so be gentle with me.
I have found that there is too big a reach to my clutch lever to be comfortable for my iccle hands. The brake lever is adjustable, but not the clutch. Does anyone know of a dog-leg type lever, or anything which may be available which might help me with this? Ok next question is about an exhaust cover. I see that R&G do them, so does anyone have any experience of it on the SV? Is it any help in a crash and does it look ok on the bike? Thanks all |

i found my hands abit little for the clutch lever reach but i just got used to it, you may find you will just adapt.
as for the exhaust cover is it for the standard can or a race can? i'm not sure but i think there just for aftermarket cans, i think they look ok. welcome to sv650.org. ![]() |

I droppped my old ER5 on the left-hand side and it adjusted it just fine
![]() Might not work with the SV as they tend to just snap, so don't try it on my recommendation! Welcome to the site btw. |

You can swap cable clutches fairly freely, just replace the whole assembly with one you like the look of. Or you could get a Pazzo lever, I think they're adjustable, but they're also £65

Welcome Gemma.
No i know form whey back in the begining of time, there was some talk of an adjustable lever fitting from a KTM. Now i cant remember which model but may be worth a look. Id find a KTM dealer and ask which of thier bikes has an adjustable lever and then go down and check it out. As for the can guard. I wouldnt bother on a std can. However a set of crash bungs couldbe a good investement. |

![]() Why not bother with a can protector on a standard can? If you do crash, even with bungs, the leading edge of the can will go down (mine actually rusted through and started blowing after the crash) and it's £800 to replace. Course, most people would just stick a aftermarket can on rather than pay that. See how mine faired, here... http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=83428 Gemma, R&G do can protectors for about £40, should have one to fit the standard can. Oh, and hi! |

Thanks for the comments, I'm pretty horrified at a standard exhaust costing £800!!! I already have crash bungs.
But yesterday I managed to drop my husbands TT600 causing damage to the crash bung and exhaust. So I am just trying to be better safe than sorry on my bike. I won't be allowed to ride his again. (Can you imagine how much trouble I am in for dropping his bike!? ![]() |

Yes.
![]() I wouldn't bother with a can protector either. You can get extra bungs for the swingarm and I think for the front forks, but if you scratch the standard can I would buy an aftermarket one,or a used standard one (Very cheap)
