Why do you think you have to push a copper so far to get arrested, they dont like the red tape that goes with an arest!!

As long as you remain calm and polite they get wound up, its greatto watch especially if they know there is nothing they can really do, as in the case above.

The perverting the course of justice would not stick anymore than jelly to the ceeling in that case. Its a public layby you can stop there if you want, the CPS would not even bother processing it.
In my experience, a copper won't take any lip ... and why should they!! .. at the end of the day, all this paperwork they are filling in, they get paid to do that ... you have to waste 6hrs down the police station ... and you can rest assured they will process you slowly if you have made an @ss of yourself!! .. admittedly, I haven't had that many interfaces with the pigs, but every time they have wanted to rip me a new one (motoring offences only I might add, I hven't been out beating up grannies or selling drugs!!).

I did not say be lippy to them did I, I said stand there and be polite keep calm and they get frustrated as they know you are not doing anything wrong.

They cant force you to leave a public place unless you are causing a disturbacce to the public, its all about knowing what rights you have and what rights they don’t have my friend. They hate it trust me!!!

I asked the guy who ran Bristol 'Safety' Camera Partnership the same question a couple of years back. His response was that it was perfectly fine to do to the point of him encouraging me to do it. After all he said they're not coppers, they're civilians. At most they will try and tell you you're breaking the law and all that but if you persist they'll just give up and move on.

However as a disclaimer, I've not done this one. I'm not a lawyer its up to you to make your own decision, your old enough, don't blame me... But photos please!

Assuming it is a public highway, with no parking restrictions. Do I not have the right to park there. It is not my fault he cannot see out the back of his van, whilst I try to find the cause of the annoying rattling sound from within my boot area. It may be something dangerous and I would hate to have a breakdown/accident because of that strange noise from the back of my car.
I guess we are not talking 'hypohtetically' here then

My take on it is that you are entitled to park where you like if legal, but could be done for obstruction if you didnt move on when told to do so by a copper. You might get done for stalking if the scamera van moved and you followed it.
