The house isnt a new build, its a 1950's. The "house" in the top left is a Pentecostal church and is quite a way a way, so that doesnt bother me. I've google mapped it. You can see the house with the garage attached to the end of it.

When I worked at Trafford Park site, we used to have a high voltage switch gear test facility where switchgear would be deliberately overloaded etc. was fun to watch things go bang. It can and does happen in the wild as well as shown above

Remember that you'll want to sell the property one day. What do you think buyers will make of that large house and that green shed overlooking yourr garden? In a rising market it mightn't be too bad (but I wouldn't buy under any circumstances), but in a falling or flat one then you will have to cane the price to get anyone interested. |

one went up in York round the corner from me in the autumn last year... no power for about 9 hours and apparently a few of the houses were a bit scorched but I never saw it myself.

So...what looks like a house is actually a community building of some sort like a school/church or offices? Big enough car park there, but entrance would be right by your driveway.
Yes, that's a massive garage. I reckon the view from the garden could be made better as Quiff says, but seeing how far away the other building is with the windowed stairwell, you will find it VERY hard keep your garden from view. |
