Pretty much all of the thing you've listed already have taxable allowances so you arent taxed on them. That does seem fair to me, so I agree with your point though. :)

Just been out to stick the Benelli on charge in case I get chance to use it at the weekend. Given it's not moved a wheel since about early October, I was quite suprised that it fired up first time...

If they do that, ask them to re-fit the original clutch and slave cylinder at their expense, as they replaced them without any good need due to mis-diagnosing the fault.

Have to admit, I wish I could get them for around £60 a corner like I can for the MX5.
Maybe I ought to just take the in-laws approach, they just go to the local garage they use for all repairs,...

That's my main concern, as that's what the conditions may well be like. The roads are often ploughed and gritted, thus bloody slippery!
