Do a search, but its almost certain you've fallen foul of the SV achilies (sp) heel and your rectifier/regulator died.

A certain Mr Squid has done a good write up on the identificatin & solution a number of times

On my bike I also fitted a battery monitior so that I can see the problem before I'm left stranded

Good Luck

maybe......but the garage took off my rectefier and put an other 1 on which he had lying aroud so mybe the 2nd rectifier was faulty aswell, so do i buy a 3rd rectifer £25 ebay as it could be somthing else.

BUT the indecaters have got me thinking ..........
suzuki wires are black.........black & white
the indecaters were red.........yellow

would it matter ifi did some yell to blk & the other yell to b&w
............................................red to b& w .....red to blk

Sounds like your regulator / rectifier has gone. or the 2nd one your garage blokey put on is as f*cked as your first one was.

Personally I wouldnt bother with ebay, I know it sounds cheaper but how do you know that the one you are buying is working.

Bite the bullet and buy a new one... do a search as suggestion this has come up loads of times, theres a thread somewhere from Sid Squid that advises how to check if the bikes charging properly.

I doubt its the indicators that are causing your problem. Mind you it might be worth getting the wiring checked by somebody who does know what they are doing.

Sounds about right for a new one.

Best way to check is to ring your nearest Suzuki dealer and get a price.

IIRC some Honda reg's fit but I'm not sure which... again try a search and see what it turns up.

£90 is right for a new Suzuki part. Have heard you can get patterns for around £70 but don't ask me where.

Unfortunatly the reg/ rec is s**t on the curvy SV, mine went after eating 2 batteries, got one from 21Quest and have been happy since (touching alot of wood )

Still have the duff one knocking around if you want it...
