Default I've got a moan... tv ads

Right... I guess I've come to expect a certain level of quality to the ads I'm forced to watch on tv and while a particular denture cream ad has me giggling about how it does the job 'without the sticky ooze' there's an ad that totally offends my sense of... well... quality.

I'm playing into the hands of the advertising agency here by talking about it but AAARRRGH!

It's an ad for a particular costume shop (leading up to Halloween, my favourite time of year) that's just diabolically crap (the ad, i've no dealings with the shop). Features people stepping out of a limo wearing pretty awful costumes to an even worse amateur RUBBISH sountrack.

I reckon anyone else who's seen it will know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.

I can't believe it's gotten onto Sky One of all places... Makes me feel very violent everytime I see it. Fine, I expect ads these days but not ads as bad as that one.

Moan over.

I look at other channels when the ads come on, helps me avoid buying things I don't actually need.

I don't know the ad but worry that I will soon.

There are so many ads that offend me; anything with Linda Barker, perfume ads and those trying to sell me a life-style rather than a product are just a few that spring to mind. I don't know why they bother, in all my time I've only ever responed to one TV ad and that was a waste of my time.

I would say just watch the BBC to avoid them, but thats full of crap and those anoying little things between programs that they spent millions on.

I think the best solution is simply to turn off the TV and get out on the bike.

The only Ad getting on my nerves at the moment, is the american accent one advertizing Sunksilk... "GGGRRREEEENN..." then "Sunsilk".... gets me wanting to smash my TV...

The corsa ad with all those freaky puppets shouting 'come on' really disturbs me for some reason Agree about the Sunsilk ones too. If anything will get me to NOT buy a product it's stupid ads like that. Grrr.

lyn will be here in a moment to tell you she doesn't have a TV and therefore it doesn't wind her up.

No. Sky+ will herald the boom in programme sponsorship and stupid little ads like the Cobra beer ones as these are not filtered

Plus, in the not to distant future, advertisers will be paying Sky to force the ad onto the hard drive anyway, and playing it at you whenever they want ....
