Its not a Vauxhall though Daimo - I thought you were a griffin man through and through?
Would go for a new VXR, but not due till 2012.
VXR8 is too big for the garage.
Corsa VXR is a girls car, too small.
Insignia VXR is too big, and too thirsty for the performance.
Time to move on..
Plus we can't get discount anymore

I have seen a couple of these and they look and sound great I have to say :)
Still, S3 is a nice car too - wouldn't complain
Not on the read at the moment, does it count?

That's as many horsepowers as my E46 2.0 litre petrol has and I'll bet you've got more torques
the economic mans bmw...
I was surprised at how good mine is on fuel, it seems to be averaging about 33mpg, which I don't consider to be at all bad for a 9 yr old, 100,000 mile old 2 litre... but I'll bet you're going to seriously p1ss on my chips when you give an mpg figure for the 318d

its good but not the best ..
it averaged 54.5 mpg on a 550 mile round trip at about 72 - 76 mph...
The main reason of choice was the nasties it emits.. it only sticks our 125 co2's which despite its 29k new price tag is cheaper on company car tax than a focus.
143bhp is plenty really, but 170 would really be enjoyable..(320) if it was mine it would be chipped by now..

nice.. yours will be quicker and more efficient..
Im loosing 2mpg!!! because of the boot and crap I keep in it..
Try catching out the 1 series windows if its a 3 door, as they have to drop a bit on order to open the door..
what colour have you gone for, and any extras?
Mine is standard... no extras or fancy bits as it was an ex BMW car..
oh sorry need to add that the 120kg co2 bracket is scrapped next year so the tax will go up £15 a month IIRC...

Official CO2 on the 118 is 119.
I had to go for a 5 door due to (****ing stoopid) company policy. Would have preferred a 3 door, but hey ho.
Got it in white with terracotta leather, cruise control, auto lights, auto wipers, USB connection. Pretty much everything else I wanted is standard fit. BMW have chucked in an M Sport upgrade for free, so body kit, suspension, wheels, parking sensors and some other fripperies. Delivery in September.

These are two of the ones I've owned recently. I run them for a month then flog them to a contact in Austria where they normally get stripped out, modified and rallied.

legal to derestrict here?
Of course. We don't have any legal restrictions on top speed capability or power output in this country.
The 186mph top speed restriction on bikes is entirely voluntary and agreed by the manufacturers, it's not law.

Well a few pics of Dad's car on the way to the Le Mans Classic a few weeks ago.
Issue One, dad had replaced the modern alloys with the originals but left the spacers on, luckily I realised this and found us a garage within 1 km of Zeebrugge ferry port, time to rid my wallet of spare euros:

Hmmm, it seems '80's cars of the Turbo variety like the odd sup of super unleaded when cruising at pace:

The kind of view you get after the car died on me (trust it to be when I was driving) and fault finding, at least I found the blown headlamp washer fuse. Location :10kms from the camp site:

This never happened when we took the '86 Lotus Esprit Turbo, the most reliable classic Dad has owned:

Just bought into the world of Saab. Not bad for £1100.

Leather? Turbo? Strangely placed ignition key?
Yeah 2.0l low pressure turbo, however planning to change that, the engines are so tunable! Not leather but wasnt that fussed. And thats a big roger on the strangely placed ignition key!
Thing that got me was the sequence when turning off the car. Cos you have to put it in reverse to take the key out I had to remember to; 1) put it in reverse, 2) turn the car off then 3) take foot off the clutch. If i get the last two the other way round i stall it and look a right tit!
