Maybe it would be an idea for peeps from the Org that have invited friends along make them aware of the importance of good / considerate riding on the rideout ... as said before it is not a race & everyone should ride at there own pace and not try and keep up with the rider in front because they think they need to !
Please don't think that I am being a boring old git .... old maybe !!
but I just want everyone to have a brilliant day !!
See You all there :D

That'll be taken care of in the form of pre-ride briefings Caz :-)

I'm sure there'll be a briefing before the ride by the markers. Last year a lot of the riders were threatened to be *ahem*d by one of the biggest organs we have. That seemed to do the trick and I don't think anyone stepped out of line too much.
That said let's hope those bringing friends bring organ friendly friends.

that is a good point..
it is an orger AR and a lot of folk are bringing mates or mates of mates.. which is good.. as long as they adhere to basic common sense in terms of riding and the drinking and fun .. we have no recourse for anyone who is not an orger - ie ban from site etc ..
after all it is an AR and not a free for all

I have a recourse Quiff...
If anyone that is present at the AR on the invitation of one of our members displays behaviour at any point during the weekend that:-
a/ puts others in a dangerous situation (on the rideout) or
b/ is anti-social in a manner that is a distressing to other forum members; I will speak to the forum member that the person concerned is in attendance with and hope that a few quiet words can be had and that the issue can be resolved with the minimum of fuss.
If someone acts in a way that would see them nicked on the streets for bad behaviour, i.e. drunk and disorderly and causing significant distress, upset, fear or indeed jeaopardising our welcome at the venue; they will be dealt with as if they were in a town centre somewhere as our venue is not exempt from the laws of the land!
This is something that honestly, I am 100% will not be an issue at all...but just so that you know...I've had to deal with this kind of thing before, so can assure you that anything like this will be handled in a way that the majority of people probably won't even know what's happening.
This forum is an awesome place, so it won't be an issue which is why I do not feel the need to post a thread highlighting this.
We all know it's going to be one giant organ love fest anyway.....we should be more worried about any guests running for the hills...lol :-)

Rich...I just PM'd this to someone saying the same thing, and it's made me really smile, so I'm going to share it here too...
Well, given that we have Hovis upstairs and all my family that are no longer here are Welsh and will be looking down, they'll all be trying too. In fact.....this may sound weird to you, but I'll risk it...When the first of my cousins died when we were 14, my aunty and uncle insisted that everyone (apart from immediate family) wear yellow to the funeral. Unbelievably, over 300 people turned up as she was so well loved at school and in afterschool activities.
The Vicar said, "I can see that Elly represented the sun in everyones lives and that is made clear to us today, so let the sun shine on all her memories and the sun be with you as she she will be, from her seat in heaven".
Now, you may not be religious, but that just makes me think, with Hovis and Elly and all who I love and miss up there....we should be alright

Well, the good news is that currently on Metcheck, it stretches as far as the Friday and is showing all sun. However, as we know, it not really until next weekend that we may get an idea of the weather.
However, Cheryl, as per your post, I am pretty sure that those who are no longer with us but that we will never forget, will all have a quiet little word with "Him indoors!!" to make sure it will be good.
To be honest, even if it rains, it won't dampen my spirits or the AR. In the rubbish weather its the people pulling together and all huddling under one big tent that makes it such a brilliant place.

* A motorbike might be handy. Running along behind isn't really an option.
* A handful of manners and a pinch of good sense will help a lot
* A little money for food, some more money for beer
* A change of clothes so you don't spend the whole weekend in stinky leathers.

*Any meds, legal ones I mean!
*Sanitaries
*Basic Bike Care (Chain lube etc)
*I'm making a credit card sized thing with all my medical conditions/meds on JIC
*Black sacks for any wet stuff
