Yes you're right. Everyone north of the Gap is Northern. Only us people living on the correct side of it are allowed to make sweeping generalisations. How could they forget that. Duh.:-D

Looks like I won't be attending AR09 peeps, various reasons, main reason is because Kayla and I want to do something else wherein we can still be part of and enjoy. For me the idea of the Annual Rideout is the Rideout bit, and not having the bike, we won't be involved in the days antics, which is a shame.

This is also not to say that the AR will not be enjoyable, but the clue for me is in the rideout.

I wish you all a fandabidosie weekend and to all be safe.

You might be a thoroughly nice chap - I don't know, we've never met; but I can only go by your posts and your only contribution to the various AR threads has been to whinge, moan, complain & wind others up.

I can't recall reading a single post that offered anything constructive or by way of encouragement.

Perhaps the reason that the numbers are 'down' at the moment is that you haven't said yet whether you're attending or not - could it be that a fair number of people are awaiting your decision as it may well affect theirs ?

If you need help with this, I do recall you saying that if you were named as a Marker it could help your decsion - well I can now tell you that you are not !!

well you post looking for a reaction and you got your reaction. Live with it. If you have nothing constructive to say about the AR, which you mostly dont, then i would suggest you keep it to yourself.

I could tell you that your not as amusing to me as you were this time last year. Am i simply making an observation or saying somethign that could get under your skin?

the organisers go to a lot of time and trouble each year for the AR, how about you step up to the chalenge next year Hovis and we all spend most of our posts sniping at your efforts

Slow down guys, the AR's meant to be fun. I think Hovis has a dry sense of humor, but its still humor all the same. If it was offensive to anybody then I'm sure he'd offer his hand and an appolgy, remember a lot of things dont come accross in text format as they would if spoken.
Lets all hold hands and plan on getting drunk, its not good publisity for AR if the AR mega thread is just one massive riot.

Sorry Matt, but you obviously have'n't been paying attention in a lot of other threads.

First it was "if I cant be a marker I dont think I will come."

Then it was "I know the t-shirts are only in blue, but can I have one in yellow."

Then when someone remarks on the numbers coming its "It snot a big as last year."

I am speaking out because its just worn me away, in EVERY thread it seems that someone says something in a positive way (ACF50 thread) and he just puts them or their efforts down.

Thats not a "dry sense of humour", and there is only so many times that people can accept the offer of a hand and an apology.

Alpinestarhero

+1 to soulkiss's post...all over the forums, there have been some rather unhelpfull, antagonistic replies to threads (including at least one of mine). I was worried it was a personal attack at first (I know hovis likes to wind me up about my topbox, I don't mind that, I know its unsightly and I welcome all your negative comments...they build my character ) but after some discussion with some others, it would seem that hovis has made a few antagonising posts; not overly malicious, but certainly not helpfull.

I dont want anyone to fall out with anyone on here, and hovis - I do think your a laugh, but lately the majority of your posts havn't made me chuckle. Just tone it down a bit mate and go back to making silly jokes which dont really offend anyone or annoy anyone :joker:

Cheers,
