Mine for today comes from the chilly South Coast. It was Pioneer Run day and the old duffers were chuffing across the line in Brighton from 10am. Lots of lovely old metal to admire and I had lunch with the Munchkin while I was down there.

I tend to be mindful of food that seems as if someone has spent an overly amount of time making it look good.
Truly good food can be ugly and no one cares.

I had hoped to take some pics of the dam but the bridge across the river and the road to the top of the mountain are still closed for the winter :(

I wasn't tasting it on Friday but I do get to eat our food in the media centre all summer and can vouch for the fact it tastes as good as it looks. Unlike a lot of big venues everything is made by hand and fresh on site, not delivered in by lorry. We employ a huge team of chefs who come up with our menus using local suppliers, small producers and themed to match the visiting counties playing at Lord's.

I suspect that was what the trainer was demonstrating.

Not been up to much recently, but have got my old neighbour's Romanian R6 to look at. He complained of it not starting from cold & being a bit sluggish. I think that the air filter has been in the bike since 1999. New one ordered, so hopefully that will sort the problem.

My wife has a bunch of Tulips on the windowsill and the light was behind it. Pretty much stuck the barrel of my HS10 in there on super macro and got this. Cropped a bit and a tweak in light level though.

I had a day of coffee snobbery. :) A really informative and educational visit to a local roasters. Watched the beans toast from green to brown, came home with a kilo of coffee and enjoyed an expresso made with beans just roasted earlier in the day.

Got a bit carried away.

The design brief was a box for a leisure battery and inverter for my garage, so I could power lights and things. I already have a generator but it's too noisy to use in the evenings.

Today I got a call to say 'There are two 90 year olds playing each other at real tennis' I wasn't sure if they were ringing me to take a photo or to have the defibrillator on standby! Is that a young James May on the left? :rolleyes:. I haven't done a lot this weekend as work got in the way. Completed the stripdown of the CR250 Red Rocket. Will be taking the parts for powdercoating tomorrow.

First ride on the bike since August. A combination of a cricket related injury - someone belted a ball into my upper shin and then my foot operation means I've not been able to ride all winter. So today a quick 60 mile round trip out to Mersea Island.
