I'm a fan of the 50's American cars, so the Chevvy for me. The 56 Chevy has to be one of my all time faves though :)

I went to my favourite garden centre today. Alan, the chap who runs it, is very knowledgeable and also a keen cook. For all the veg plants he sells he can give you several recipes off the top of his head. I bought £40 worth of tomato plants and some basil.

I really like mooching about in the greenhouses out the back that aren't officially open to customers but if you ask he's fine with you exploring.

Ah, no greenhouse for me. A dozen tomato plants for me to put in grow bags on the patio, 8 for my mum as a late mother's day gift, and 2 peardrop plants for sis in law. These yellow tomatoes are apparently low acid and don't give you acid reflux, something she suffered with even eating normal tomatoes.

Found out why I don't like Motocross bikes last night. All of my hard work rebuilding the Red Rocket has taken a few steps back. Had to remove the engine & swingarm just to fit the airbox. I was not a happy puppy.

It's a Honda.
I used to race Honda MC bikes and ATC's in the eighties.
Reliable they were not and always take 3 three things off to work on one.

Within 3 minutes of taking that photo of the windmill we'd had to sprint back to the car with a camera wheelie case full of gear down a cobbled street and then the heavens opened. Within minutes there were flooded roads, lifted drain covers and deep water everywhere. 30 minutes and a lot of lightning later, bright sunshine. Guess which 30 minutes Mr LPH was riding home in!

A ride out today to Suffolk where there's a lovely little antiques shop with cafe. Wonderful coffee, served in a china chip with saucer refilled as often as you want for one price. Lots of pretty vintage jewellery, I always buy something.

No, I'm paying to have it fitted, I'm too old, lazy and tired of big DIY jobs to do it myself. Plus after removing the cupboards and finding lots of nice bodges on electrics it's a good job it's being done by someone else. Ripping up the floor tiles was like being in a war movie, shrapnel flying everywhere :rolleyes:

We've waited nearly 17 years to do this room, so worthwhile having it done properly, and before I'm retired and penniless

It does look good, tiles match the units, which you can't tell untill the tiles are down and the units are in! Phew!
