They have done an exceptional job, but have found 1 problem. The swingarm is supposed to be red. I never noticed until I looked at some of the stripdown pictures :( I'll be on the phone this morning.

We're having a bit of an Org post marathon party for Debs and I made cake of course. It took me longer to ice this than it took the elite runners to finish the race!

Probably the first time Lewis the guide dog has been made in icing.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170423/bcc719d8561850951cbf5a1453021c0a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170423/5cd583112ff3da9946bbcfb515029d6e.jpg

I've been at Marlborough College doing photos all day. They need editing but the tea was good.

Then I got home to a grumpy Stu, because I'd had the car he rode to work on his bike and got soaked in the way home, and now Piggle thinks he's found a new cat bed by the heater.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170427/002393119acc7bbb1d8447474b5e47e9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170427/783480ff9f247aebca857f03862c54ba.jpg

Seeing as I was let down on a CBR600 project the other week I've now ended up with this. A 1991 ZZR600. Bloke reckons that it overheats, so will investigate once I've sorted the boss's Red Rocket. Lovely bit of vinyl wrapping to make the bodywork look good. Might peel it off & have a look at ther horrors beneath :)

I had one flying about in our loft a couple of years ago, just preparing to start the nest, because it was a huge wasp. But no match for a swift smash with a badminton racquet.

I know they do have a purpose in the natural world, but not in my loft

Tomorrow the new stand opens so today staff were invited to have lunch and pay £5 for 3 courses. Tomorrow the same lunch will be £70.

I could only manage one course and I was full, I didn't even contemplate a starter!

Run? I thought that's what water did ;). Well done, I'd have to get the bike out to do that. I used to do the "R" word years ago, couldn't imagine doing it now :)
Went to Kedleston Hall in Derby over the weekend. Spent 3 hours walking around the grounds, what a lovely place. We are going to go back at a later date to take the house in as well. We were pushed for time this time around.

My latest buy. a 1991 Kawasaki zzr600. Bought as a non runner, but all sorted now. MOT'd yesterday & test rode this morning. Has a few issues which are small, but other than that, well worth the £300 I paid for her.

Another bloomin bargain Col!!
It was up for sale on a Facebook page for nearly a month & I couldn't understand why. It started at £500, dropped to £350, but still didn't sell. He said that it had an overheating problem, so sold it spares or repair. When I got it home, he was right, but he didn't look at the wires on the fan switch. One was disconnected :smt102. A nice easy fix for something that could have turned out to be a bit of a mare.
I don't know what to do with it now though. Paint will be on the cards, but other than that I haven't got a clue.

Had a busy afternoon with the Red Rocket. Swingarm now fitted. Ohlins shocks wouldn't fit, so have had to refurb the originals.

Don't remember the zzr being available in Kawasaki green?

Vinyl wrap maybe? Maybe to expensive?

Love the red rocket refurb

The ZZR was vinyl wrapped when I bought it, but done very badly. I'm thinking of spraying it burnt orange.
The Red Rocket really is looking nice. I just hope that my boss thinks the same :)

It is growing on me slowly. I have to admit that I'm not a fan, but for a 26 year old bike, it doesn't look too bad.
I bought the lid off my son cheap. I'm really not a Guy Martin fan, can't stand the bloke, but always have my eye on a bargain :)

Nice :)
This was my "Out & about" shot last night. Took the SakofKaki for a quick spin checking a suspension adjustment I'd done. One thing I didn't check was the amount of fuel I had in the tank :( I also left my mobile at home, so had to walk 3 1/4 miles back home & ask the wife to give me a lift to get some petrol. I WILL be checking the low fuel warning lights at the weekend :)

Yesterday I was going around photographing untidy cables scattered about the place - never let it be said that my job isn't full of glitz and glamour!

We had a huge one sat on next door's pathway. The postman wouldn't go past it and was hanging around wondering what to do, and our dogs were going nuts. So the mrs had to go and chuck it in a hedge.

Before doing that, learn to distinguish them from adders. Some slow worms have markings. We almost lost a dog to an adder bite once.

Even a non venomous snake/slow worm can cause problems if you get bitten. Their saliva can have a few nasties in it. I got bitten by a grass snake and the doc still made me have a load of shots done.

Doing some overtime at the moment, so am feeling pretty shattered when I get home (54years old & 11 hour days don't go together too well) but am still finding time to play with the Kawasaki.
She is now all T Cutted & polished. I'm really pleased with the results as it was rattle canned in the back yard at the weekend.
