If a player scores a 100 or more batting or takes 5 wickets or more in an innings (or ten in a match on the board to the right) then they have their name added to the Lord's Honours Board. Every pro I've ever met has wanted to get their name up there and it's a really big thing for them.
Thanks for explaination lph :)
Nice pics today all :)

Beautiful home, originally built in the 1880's but most of what you see was added in the 1920's.
Now a restaurant is operated on ground level and you can tour most of the house.
Not lived in as it's notoriously haunted. (or so say the locals)

Been on a track day at Donington today & have decided I prefer slower, more technical tracks. Donington is an ace circuit, but the 400 & it's rider weren't that fast today. Smallest bike there today, so was eaten on the straights, but gave a lot of larger bikes a run for their money in the corners.

Snugbury's Ice cream I'm thinking?
Spot on Col, Made me realise I should elaborate a little for the non-locals. An ice cream farm near here has made straw sculptures every summer for the past decade. They have gotten more ambitious each year :smt115 and have had such inspirations as the Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank, Big Ben, Sputnik and the space race and my personal favourite a fully functional windmill!
http://www.snugburys.co.uk/content/sculptures
This 35ft Dalek has light up "eyes" a movable plunger, turning head AND the pièce de résistance... a sound system which shouts "EXTERMINATE!!" :smt072 across the Cheshire landscape :D

No hero left behind (Batman got into a spot of bother so Superman and Iron Man are lending a hand)
Playing with my new 10-22 today in the peaks... You find these abrasive wheels doted all over the peaks in random places. Carved out of the grit stone, I guess they got left behind if they did not meet the quality requirement for flour mills and the like.

Just back home after a long weekend at F-I-L's. Had to retrieve the munchkin from her final PGL holiday (she's reached the upper age limit now she's 16) but took the opportunity to visit the Shrewsbury Flower Show on Friday. Great day out and I'll not bore you with pics of flowers. Saw these guys do exactly the same display I saw them do at the BMF Rally in 1988

Figure they've been doing the same tricks since those Trumpets were new back in the early 60s...
As always at these shows they also had a falconry display. Love finding these beautiful creatures resting on their travel perches after a display as they're knackered and don't move too much!

If anybody wants it I'll end the auction as £60 will buy it ;) and the P&P will be a touch lower.

Repeat as for each rider, sag may run into meters as ageing process happens.
Gotta say though, they are pretty damn awesome! Saw them at Malpas steam fair a good few years ago.

From the "Clash of Knights" demo at Beeston Castle, 2 teams of knights facing off to charge in and knock the dragon crest from the helm of one of the opposing teams players. It was basically rugby with bludgeoning weapons, very fast paced too as each "bout" lasted 10-30 seconds.

Birthday cake and cupcakes for Cazza's birthday. The chocolate cake did not look like this by the time we got to the lunch stop. Speed humps + chocolate orange sponge = chocolate splat.
