Mine for today. Walked to my son's house which is the other side of town. Took the camera & had a few snaps.

No need for concern - they were scrapped off for different reasons some one at the bracket pressing factor - no names mentioned had fitted the brackets with the wrong size captive nuts (8mm instead of 10mm) on the seatbelts top plates - for this reason it would be against the LAW to sell them to the public as it's a safety concern.
mine for yesterday... Took my son to the local festerval called "Houghton Feast"
got asked by two coppers if I worked for the press!

Hah I might be becoming predictable ;-)
First time seeing the Milky Way and photographing it was fun. Bit of a lost night though as it wasn't the shot that I wanted. I was ultimately aiming for a sort of combination of the two shots but there seems to be a habit of welsh youths to go out in the pitch black to historic castles to get drunk and/or stoned!
I'm still seeking that shot that I'll be happy with but these were the best from the weekend.
Sorry for not being as sociable in the thread as usual, have a lot of other stuff on at the moment but normal service should be resumed shortly.
Incidentally, we are over 3/4 distance in this year long challenge so pats on backs all round and once again thanks to Mav for getting the ball rolling.
Oh, Seggons video reminded me, I tried my hand at a "drive lapse" en route to the photo shoot

Not exciting and no soundtrack but just testing the theory with the method to be refined later.
loving that first shot Bret :)

Indeed. It is the most tacky and false place I have ever been to and cannot wait to fly home on Tuesday evening.
Might have time to upload some pics tonight but for some reason my head of department assumes we all want to be together as a group all the feckin' time and that we all want to be up 'till flip knows when every night. The lack of sleep and the constant air con is really affecting me now...

Nice Sat Nav bag Bill, did it do the job?
Yes works great!!!! And weather proof tested!
Thanks again for your help!
As it came worked well and would probably suit most riders, but being me, I made a few mods to it to make it perfect.
It needed to be a bit higher to be easily seen in front of the tank bag so added 2 more pieces of foam (like the one that came with it).
One more on the inside and one on the outside under the bottom that is cut out for the top yolk nut and also for the key.
Once the bike is running you can pull the unit over the key (without touching) if you desire it up that far and it easliy sildes back out of the way for key use when needed, yet stays anywhere you put it while riding.
The lower foam piece is not visable when on the bike and sticks nicely to the velcro on the bottom once the wings (and other unused bits) were cut off.
(Remaining ends were burnt to prevent any unraveling.)
Of course extending the height also meant extending the straps so the ends were cut off (again ends burnt) and resewn onto some like strap lengths cut from an old backpack.
Looks made to fit and can now be seen at a glance rather than peering over a full tankbag.
Thanks again for your help!
Can't buy one of these in the US!

Just a reminder before you leave, it is the only place in the US where prostitution is legal. ;)
To meet one of the better ones just win a huge sum of money at a casino.
Not only will she take your money for a night of wild sects, she'll be employed by the casino to convince you into loosing that money back.
Or just call one in the phone book.
Like ordering a pizza. LOL
Or perhaps have one sent to your boss's room and show up with a camera as soon as he opens the door.

With no thanks to BA whatsoever I am now back home. Delaying a flight by 20 hours and doing nothing but saying sorry by email, and then all the agents based at the airport hiding was frankly unacceptable. Thankfully the friendly people at Virgin Atlantic got us transferred to their flight with no extra fee, even if we did arrive at Gatwick instead of Heathrow. The prospect of another night in Vegas horrified all of us!
I suppose if you had no idea what the real thing looked like you'd marvel at the replica of the Eiffel Tower (wrong proportions), the Statue of Liberty (crown/headdress is wrong), or St Mark's Square (indoors for flip's sake with scaled-down gondolas!!). Most of the iconic signs are gone which is a shame and the hotels are just behemoth structures that you literally get lost in.

I stayed here at The Palazzo which also has The Venetian in the same complex, with an exhibition/meeting centre between them. The floor space of these is about the same size as Berkshire! It took me three days of using the provided map to get the hang of finding the meeting centre, which was at least a 20 minute walk from my room...
Still not as big as this place though

Bill, it must be absolutely stunning over there right now with all the rainbow colours from the forests.
most of out forests are pine tree and green all year round which is pretty boring. there are a few patches of woodland which look stunning though.

Had to go & pull one of our lads out yesterday as he tried to take his pickup off road while he was towing a cherry picker.

My picture is fake.
That violin hasn't been played in many years.
My father bought it for wall decor when I was a child.
Now hangs in my house. Supposedly made in the late 1800's but not worth a lot.
The fireplace is electric. Flames are not real and can be turned on with or without heat.
An unplayed violin next to a fake fire.
Makes a nice image though. ;)
Your leaves apparently have more colour than ours at the moment.
Although usually it would be nearing the end of the peak colours the leaves are very late in turning this year.
Likely not to be a good year for fall colours here. :(

I'd popped out today to try and get some Autumn shots, looks like I've been too late for some trees and too early for others!
Anyway, favourite shot from the wander was:

As usual I am uploading a day behind. So yesterday I had to ensure the England team got on the bus to Heathrow after a lunch at Lord's and various photo sessions - during which a sponsor knocked my L series 24 - 70mm f2.8 off a chair and knackered the bayonet so it's in for repair - if it's even repairable! :(

Yes my job when the official one is being taken is to stop them mucking about and get them to stand in the right place - I don't always succeed. KP's face in the Al Murray one is brilliant. Proper dirty look.
I attended the official lunch as a guest and was sat next to Princess Anne's son. The other girls were very jealous that I got to sit next to one of the few people who wasn't a boring financial sponsor over the age of 45.

I'm back - kind of...
I've taken a load of pictures over the last two weeks but my broadband packed in and sky wanted £70 for a new router, which I wasn't going to pay when Virgin were installing a week later.
So for today a trip to Edinburgh to see a very famous and utterly spectacular stage show.

Nice, some surreal post processing going on too, really works.
I'm just sat home alone pondering a photo trip but can't decide where I should go.
Fenjer, isn't it an awesome show? looks like you had great seats too!
Bibio, we aren't gear snobs, we definitely ogle and desire the posh stuff but the camera is just a means to an end, I look forward to your contributions :)
Mav, I really like Earls Court, it looks cool in any shot somehow, perhaps iconic is the most fitting description.

Brett, yes that sums up how I see it
Brettus, it was spectacular! we had front row seats, slightly restricted as you couldn't see right to the back of the stage, but we were right on the aisle so all the elephants/rhino's etc came up the aisle onto the stage next to us - it was stunning! I absolutely loved it! Would love to see it again! Those were sneak pictures on my phone from the bow at the end.

Right, so I went wandering around Chester in the dark to try and get some shots. I shot more than I usually would so I have a number of subjects but nothing that had really stood out or inspired me. My favourites:

Finally got to ride to the mountains today but the fall colours were disapointing.
Very late to see green leaves here but most were green or just turning brown and falling off.
Even the brightest leaves seemed of a dullish colour.
Quite cool on top of the mountains but still a nice day to ride.

Some really nice photos going on at the moment. I just don't seem to be doing much at all at the mo. Love that 1st pic Brettus, very nice & Bill, those colours are stunning. We dont really seem to be getting Autumnal colours here this year yet.
Here's mine. Went for a walk around Delemere Forest yesterday, probably the 1st time I've been there since I was a child.
