Your pictures are all so beautiful..

However because my life is rather boring, here is the most interesting picture I took today:

It's of a kettle plug from an inverter shelf that had a contact arcing, how exciting!

Don't worry mav, this thread is like a high street bank now... Too big to fail!
I try and snap something most days in reserve too, I imagine a few of us do as everyone is enjoying it :-)

Nothing special tonight just a scene I saw when I had my phone.
Sun setting opposite some rain clouds always makes stuff look cool.
Phone didn't do it as much justice as my real camera would but still pleased with it

Been to Norfolk this week, just returned so thought I would share a couple of pictures on here.

The old Lighthouse in Hunstanton.

A Fulmar keeping his eye on his missus in case we did something to harm them. They were about 40 feet up, so not too much chance of that.

Better later on in the year, but really only for the kids.

Although the tank museum is worth a trip along the coast road. There's a few steam railways dotted around in odd places

Cool! Nice shot! I'd been wanting to try that since seeing it in a magazine but hadn't found a suitable torch in my collection yet.

Nice shots from LPH and Mister_C too! I especially like the DOF in LPH's, I keep trying to do similar but I end up not getting it quite right more often than not.

You hang a torch from string in a dark room and swing it. Put a camera underneath on a long exposure and it records the path of the light.

Cracking shots Richie! My personal fave is the last one, really nice shot.

Mine for today was the one inspired a few weeks ago by Geodude's Daffodils.

Actually rather than photoshop (I know Richie prefers it and clearly works well in it) I'd recommend Lightroom, adobe currently have the beta of Lightroom 5 available for FREE till they release the full product.
It has all the sliders that are needed for photo developing (and a few that photoshop doesn't have I think) and it organises your imported pictures and gives you a central place for them. I've really adapted to it and the full version can be had for £75ish, I know others swear by photoshop elements that comes with bridge though which does the cataloging and might be cheaper again perhaps.

Just my unclear 2p worth anyhow :-)

EDIT :- Photoshop CS2 Link (http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/)

Whilst they ARE providing a link to download the software which has activation disabled you AREN'T legal to run it unless you purchased a license :S

There are some obvious photoshop bodges but it was struggling to edit a 250mpixel file ;)
took 25 minutes for it to update after one brush stroke (the brush was 3000pixels across though!)

(most of the sky is fabricated so that is why some bits are cut off, some also (like the trees) didn't get enough pictures taken as they weren't the main shot. 23 images comprise this composite.)

nope but the shot was taken above the washing machine :p

to save time on others guessing, it is a reusable ice cube, on top of a white tile.

Good spot!

In all honesty, it's because I'm lazy and this particular export was for the Facebook timeline photo. And the actual profile picture covered up the bike on the left side...
Does that even make sense?

I'm also pleased to say the frogspawn in my pond survived the frosts that came just after it was laid. Creepy looking blobs right now but fascinating.

I cannot believe Bill has Roses in flower already... Mine are still way off.

We had the annual "odd" celebration in High Wycombe today - The Beating of the Bounds. This is an ancient ceremony that celebrates the boundary markers around the old town. Some are now missing through development and some I pass by every time I wander into the town centre without realising it. It's called "beating" as a child is turned upside down and bumped onto a ceremonial box placed besides or on the marker stone. We are a wierd bunch in Wycombe!!
