Steel wool, touch a 9v battery to it and it burns, spin it and bits come off and you get that cool effect.
Well it's certainly effective.

Berlin: always jealous of your scenery, excellent shots every time.
Still haven't been out here, tried to get a castle shot but ended up with no enthusiasm today as I'm off to Belgium for 3 nights from tomorrow. I suspect my castle shot might have to be taken there as I'll run out of time before the 25th otherwise.

I like the graphics.
The designed, built, enginered in Britian bit, nice as well.

Stick in the microwave for 2 minutes.
Stir.

Microwave? No! Decent non stick pan, medium heat, lots of butter, whisk eggs, add to melted butter and stir briskly with chopsticks till not quite set. By the time you then get them to the plate the residual heat will have finished them. Serve with smoked salmon and black pepper.

Firstly, apologies for being hopeless at adding pics so far this year - work is mental and I spend the weekends also working or asleep instead of playing with my new Canon.
Secondly, do your gaffers mind you taking so many pics at work Richie? Just curious as I'm used to working for US companies who go mental about cameras in the workplace.

Well Richie braved public opinion and posted a bear shot so I guess I should overcome my inhibitions and post one too ;)
wanted to try something to test out my 50mm which I got at the same time as my 11-16mm but hasn't seen nearly as much use.

Nice shot LPH, I always like the view down an underground carriage somehow, most people dislike it but I really enjoy the underground and think not only is it a marvel of engineering but it is pretty photogenic.
Tomor: that is ace, I've always wanted to see let alone photograph a proper snowflake.
Mav, liking that shot, might try a shot like that with my 50mm with some high street lights behind, seem some examples on flickr. Gotta get the right circumstances though.
no more photos from me..
What ever?

no more photos from me..
I'm hoping it was just Richie checking in on the thread at night but having nothing new to add, hoping that his work have not banned him from taking pictures either I really like seeing his behind the scenes shots (especially as I own a Juke ;))
I hope so too.
