Yes, you're right. Seemed quite calm when I looked but you can't fool a camera. Obviously a witch.

Nicest day of the year & I had a nightmare. Bought a new chain & sprocket kit, so thought I would get it fitted nice & early, then go for a bimble. 6 hours later, it was done & put straight in the shed. The wheel adjuster had siezed solid, so had to rip the whole thing to bits c/o mister mallet & screwdriver & reassemble with madame grease & WD40. One of the problems of riding everyday (except today) I suppose.

Yes, jobs you thought would be straightforward, always turn into the task from hell.

Isn't this a known issue, I seem to recall reading about it?

Wow there have been some amazing images recently, loving Banannaman's first shot, would love to take one like that someday.

Sir_trev is making great use of his Christmas pressie! definitely got the compositional eye.

Admin, Looks like a great day out and that first shot is a great memento and nice shot too!

Berlin, always jealous of your stuff :)

Choo, really liking the storyboard sets.

Mister_C, ouch, doesn't look like a fun day :( sorted in the end though I guess.

Right, now for something completely different, playing with my latest toy: Not great shots, they aren't level and they are mainly blurry but out of my most recent set these couple stood out:

The first one gets my vote Richie. Might have a go at something similar but I'm a smidge hesitant about it - there is a Hurricane and a Spitfire as joint gate guardians (one each side of the access road) only a couple of miles from me. My hesitation is they're beside RAF High Wycombe, which is better known as RAF Command. What might they think if some weird looking scrote rocks up with a camera outside of their head quarters site...?

Simply go and ask the Guard if it's okay to take photos of the gate guards aka the Aircraft.

Some really nice pics coming through on this feed. Really like the Rivington shot Pete. Heres mine for today. I've eventually got off my butt & started to get the race bike prepped ready for April, didn't need too much really, just a good clean as my shed roof has been leaking for a while, as you can see by the 2nd pic. Looks better now I've actually fitted the race numbers. I'm not out for any glory this year, as I said to a fellow racer, as long as I stay upright, but improve my times, I'll be happyhttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/19/e3y8a5a6.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/19/y6ameba2.jpg

Yesterday I finished a bathroom for a lady and took time for it to be perfect. She then went and put one pink shower curtain ring on the pole with 12 white ones. Everything else in the bathroom is white...

A coloured ring has a very specific meaning - you need to understand the code.

It's like the coloured handkerchief code, as seen http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Handkerchief_code

Gasless only. I couldn't persuade Mrs BP the extra cost of gas was acceptable. it's only for me to do bits'n'bobs about the place with.
Auto mask didn't arrive though. And we're off to Cumbria for the weekend, so no playing yet!

Sorry I've not been on much as of late.

My youngest son and his wife had a baby boy Monday.
Unfortuantely he is in need of a heart transplant, so all my spare time is centered around him at the moment.
I still check in everyday on my mobile, been some cracking photos this week.
Will try to post more , things are calming down a bit now and will be just waiting for a heart, hopefully.

My pic for today:

Oh no! Best wishes Banannaman, hoping for some great news for you and all concerned.

Richie: :smt118:smt055:batman: That is ace! Nismo without the red mirrors, much more tasteful. Not to mention Matt frickin black! Nice understated wheels too!
Still love our Juke, it spends most of its time in Urban pickup mode with the seats down and just a load space for my photography, walking, weekends away and now the quadcopter :D I just need to clean it so it doesn't actually look like an old abused pickup :|

Christian1000: that is a cracking picture, nice shot, we get some really nice light at times during this time of year, just being in the right place to take advantage of it.

Here is mine for today, got up this morning with the intention of heading out to get a shot and thought it wasn't going to work out as there was a big black cloud in front of the rising sun so I went further down the road to have a practise and not waste the trip out but then it brightened up so I headed back and got this shot:
http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2887/12693472474_b13626a1aa_b.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/97383585@N06/12693472474/)

I work here. The big tall building in the middle is the Feed Mill, the warehouse at the front of the picture with the cherry picker is a Feed blend shed and the rest of the warehouses are ambient storage warehouses for tinned goods and such.

There are a few more pictures in the set that the picture comes from but nothing to make them stand out.

OK one more that I've now played with, been wanting a shot to try the effect one, it almost works with this but not quite.

Bill, my thoughts are with you & your family at the moment. I've been through the same sort of trauma with my son's newborn, it was touch & go for a week or so, but, things are on the up for them now.
Brett, the last picture looks cool. I like that effect, I never take any pictures to warrant trying it. A Batman Juke Richie? played around with by Nismo? Should be fun :)

Well, I actually took my camera out today (Shock Horror!). Been to Oulton Park to watch a couple of mates on a trackday. Peed me off a bit, seeing as it was such a nice day because I was the wrong side of the fence :( Took over 100 photos, but only pleased with 3 shots, the others turned out to be slightly, or totally blurred :(

Bill, hope things work out for your family.

With hindsight, this doesn't look all that safe!

Not happy, as nothing was said on our local news about it, as I could have driven to my sisters place to see it.

Would have saved a long & expensive trip, as its on my bucket list

On Closer inspection of the pond it would seem these two may have had something to do with it. With a polarising filter they cannot hide from me now! There are lots of the horny little sods in there and every now and then as I look out of the kitchen window the surface of the pond is a veritable maelstrom!

The pond pics were from yesterday so for today I give you the Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot. Went to go find the shop I bought my SV from only to find it long gone. Sniff. Wandered into the centre of this quaint little place and found a weird modern building amongst the rest of the mix of old and new. Face on it looks boxy and dull but oddly I really liked the metal cladding:

And if you look at an angle you see how the architect has added random strips to break up the face.

Been busy rebuilding my little scooter, so haven't been on here for a few days, but had a play with some little ball bearings last night.

I really like this one. The bearing is only 4mm in diameter, but you can see every detail in it :)

Got a call from the head chef. Could I take a photo of a new veggie starter they have just added to the pub menu. Certainly I say. So off I go. The upside is that he insists that after I have finished snapping that he cooks me another one to have for my lunch. Absolutely delicious deep fried duck egg with asparagus and hollandaise sauce (and mine had some parmesan shavings added as he knows I like cheese)
