Classic car in the shop today.
It's a 1965 Plymouth Barracuda V8 4-speed.
This is an original owner car.
Received by the owner as a 16th bithday present from his parents when he turned 16 and got his driving license and he still has it and drives it somewhat regularly.
Although a desired car from the 60's, to me, it's a lovely example of an ugly car. LOL

I present to you a drawing that our Ghost did for us on the kitchen ceiling last night. A beautiful pencil on emulsion rendition of whatever happened to be on her mind.. I quite like it!

... and on an entirely different note I spent the day raising the giant hemlock beams in the basement of our new house to level things up a bit! :-)

Chuff chuff chuff chuff, chuff chuff chuff chuff, woo-woo.
Not very often we get a steam train on the Chiltern line and I happened to spot a piece in the local rag about this one today. Braunton, a Bullied Light Pacific of the West Country Class (I looked it up), pulling the Cathedrals Express towards Stratford-upon-Avon, passing through High Wycombe. Shame it did not stop here as it's almost level at the station so no picturesque plumes of smoke - if it had to work a bit to pull away it would have made a nicer shot. Oh well, makes a change from the diesel railcars.

First day of the cricket season at Lord's so I took Chris to work with me (I think making him get up at 8am on a Sunday is good for him really).
Perambulation was permitted during the luncheon interval - that's having a stroll on the outfield in normal speak.

Some nice shots recently (as always) so varied and interesting.
Mine's not quite so different from previous stuff but I got airborne again today and despite the video being shakier than it should've been I got a half decent shot that I liked:

Mine for the day. Went for a run out to lake vyrnwy. Nice and sunny but a bit blustery.

Think I need to get the iPhone up there over something like this for a real nice picture.

Went for a 6 mile walk today & this little chap landed near us on a fence. I am going to get rid of my old FD 400mm lens as it just isn't really up to the job, but it's not too bad really.

The 'tramlines' (wheelings left for spraying/fertilising), are set up at the drilling stage, usually an automated procedure done by a pooter in the cab. Still got to drive pretty straight though, unless, like you noted, it's a more modern set up where the tractor guides itself by gps!

A startling statistic - 12 young people a week die from un-diagnosed heart problems in the UK. Other survive but it changes their life in a major way like Chris8886.
So today we've had CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) at Lord's screening the Middlesex and MCC Young Cricketers for potential heart problems and I took some photos for use in some associated PR. Nice for us to be able to talk about taking positive action, even better for CRY to have free photos they can use to publicise their work.
And before someone else says it, yes is does mean I spent the morning photographing fit blokes with their tops off again.

Sadly for you lot the girls were not about today - at 43 I'm too old to be screened. However the lads did make me have my weight and height done so they could laugh at how small I am - 5'2 and 8 st 5lbs - though those scales are definitely weighing on the kinder side as I have lost a bit recently but not that much!

Finally a good day again, reprised my earlier shot that was taken from video and with such a nice day I got a few other elements too:

The lines in the field, the dappling from the clouds, the cyclists in the lane and the contrast between planted and the dirt field all made it my favourite from the flight.
I'd have chosen this one if it'd have had the cyclists in:

I am *A* god, yes. God of gadgets and impulse purchases ;) I also bear more than a passing resemblance to Zeus (just ask Sir_Trev, he spotted it in the natural history museum IIRC)
Anyway, the camera is taking pictures all the time (1 every second)
I popped out one more time today to a place I'd been told about by a redditor, they asked if I ever got pictures of the place to send them on. I've just done that and I'm pretty pleased with the shot so it usurps my earlier post:

Finally a ground picture (and one that I put some thought into rather than a picture of some food and such as of late)
Went to Tatton Park today and had a look around the craft fair and children's Easter events. Really nice gardens, the mansion hadn't opened yet and we got bored before it did so headed home but pleased with this shot:

I tried taking a slower shutter shot but the composition didn't work out as well as this one did, I'd spotted the Union Jack making it's way round and this was the only one untangled. The text also made it work out well.
My only annoyance was that when I was about to upload it I spotted the fecking huge bunny in the background that spoils it somewhat but can't do anything about that, can't crop it out.
Might be more to come yet today, got a bit of enthusiasm and there is still afternoon to go for quadcopter and there is an incredibly bright overhead pass of the ISS this evening, that'd require more effort but it can be fun.

I did get chance to pop out with the quad again as I'd got back from Tatton park early afternoon and I'd come up with a couple of ideas to shoot, neither of them are quite how I imagined them but close enough for me not to pursue them further I think.

Sorry to keep spamming the aerial shots but I have such fun taking them and I've had a couple of weeks where the weather was too poor.
AJC: Liking that last shot as I've got a penchant for windmills somehow, I really like the design of them, I've got a few shots in mind when I can get to some. The mountainbiking looks fun up there, nice views, bet you could get some cracking action shots from ground level by that jump!
Kenzie: Wow, you win today for me, that first shot is a definite "Wish I'd taken that" shot, I'd likely have messed it up and put the focus on the first stone too but the second one is so much better.
Mister_C: that thing looks like it should be on the cover of Max err... Min Power now! you need an antisocial exhaust for it though and maybe some spinners ;)
Right, enough waffle from me, glad we are all having such fun this Easter weekend :) I need to settle down :smt026 and stop coming up with reasons to dash off for a photo.

Another cake related one from me today. Mr LPH's nephew is 4 tomorrow, and Toy Story is is favourite film, but I've never seen it so I'm hoping this is an accurate-ish cake. The idea is he gets to keep the toys afterwards as his present. Everything else is edible as the headboard is biscuit.

from last week
My Grandson Silas has had a successful heart transplant and been released from the hospital.
He has to stay nearby to the Hospital for at least another month.
The doctors and nurses say he's the fastest healing heart transplant they have ever seen.
Hopefully he will continue to do well.

While Mrs Jambo is away Jambo has been claiming to be eating healthily which may be a very slight exaggeration. But here's a photo of him at a BBQ today with some celery which he had for dinner (and he absolutely definitely did not really eat burgers, sausages, ribs and then some chocolate cake topped with mini eggs once I put the camera away)

Thanks Bill, shot would have been better if taken at a slightly different angle with a bit more of the cathederal in it, but there was a big builders van just round the corner in the way to spoil the picture, d'oh.

Was highly pee'd off by work today so wandered into the garden with the camera when I gave up on it and felt better after a few minutes in the greenhouse. The heater is rigged up to the timer, the insulation is all in place, the automatic window vent is adjusted and I now have my tomato plants on the go.

It must have taken off from the park at the bottom of my road. Almost took out my neighbour's TV aerial as the pilot lost lift and dropped a bit after getting over the trees at the edge of the park. When they are that low (and so close to your own roof!) you realise just how big the envelope is.
1 year ago motability asked my wife to order a new car as the Citroen was 3years old. A new Citroen was ordered and then Citroen completely failed to deliver. Which is why we now have a Vauxhall.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Depends. The Citroen had more character but it already had signs of rust. You also get more extras on a Citroen as standard. The Vauxhall does everything you need but its dull.
I cant get too excited about cars. For me they are in the same category as cookers and fridges. Thank God I have a bike.
