I no longer have to listen to the "clunk clunk" ... "clunk clunk" as every car drives over a rattly drain cover outside my flat.

Since the council don't seem to be doing anything about it, I grabbed some roadworks barriers that have been lying in the grass verge for months and put them around the drain. Sorted :)

I know, I should! ! We seem to have an unnerving amount of good luck lately. However, as positivity brings positivity, I shall not think negative thoughts and just be thankful for it, seeing as we have some pocket emptying house maintenance to do after the Christmas rain did it's damage :-(

Darren, over here in Spain if you've got a clunky manhole lid they lift it up and put an old push bike inner tube that's been split around its circumference around the inner ring and plonk the lid back on !!!

Had a friend who lived opposite a pub with a squeaky sign. Took him months of being kept awake at night hearing it swinging in the wind before he realised he could go out with a step ladder and just oil it himself.

Nope, if it was that easy, I would have done it ages ago. No stumbled on this ebay item via Vauxhall owners forum. Blanking plug & a cheat to fool the ECU. The latter is the thing that makes it work

Just waiting for a reply on the forum, to see if it works.

I sort of gave up alcohol about a month ago. I say sort of because I'm not being that strict, I had a couple of glasses of fizz one evening last week at a dinner for my birthday (rescheduled from last December) and a glass of red on Sunday. The rest of the time I'm on alcohol free beer or water.

I now don't even miss my evening glass of wine. I'm sleeping better and my skin seems to be looking younger. I'm getting up earlier in the mornings too. I was never one to have more than 1/2 bottle of wine max, but cutting it down to almost nothing I'm amazed at how much better I feel. [emoji3]

I had mine blanked and the ECU reprogrammed about 18 months ago. Also check the swirl flap actuator arm at the same time. It can jammed when the EGR blocks and then you have to take the manifold off to repair it.
The EGR makes sod all difference to emissions or consumption in the real world of driving on roads. (Sad sack here who measures consumption and records emissions test results!)

Our scenic egr is constantly needing me to remove and clean it. No one seems to make blanking plates for it.
Is it as straight forward as blanking and either putting up with the emissions warning or cable tieing the plugged in egr somewhere in the engine bay?

Having read a bit, buy a gasket (if it has one) & cut the plate to the pattern, drill the holes and fit the plate.

Leave the EGR plugged in to fool the ECU

It might work,

Would this fit your engine?

Absolute utter tripe, no plot, highly unbelievable nonsense, no acting skills on show, poor CGI. But I've not laughed so much at a so called action film. At least watching it I now know that the president of America has 'the knowledge' he drove round London like he knew the place. EPIC!

Gripe: car has been in the garage for nearly 2 weeks while my mechanic friend Sean tried to find out what was causing it to intermittently misfire. It felt like an ignition or fuel problem but a new fuel pump, new coil, pipes blown through with no result. It was beginning to look like a deep engine fault and a write off as it is 18 years old.

Smile: Sean rang today. They removed the front engine cover to look at the cam belt and the cause was then obvious. The cam belt tensioner had failed and the cam belt had slipped and shed 2 teeth. New cam belt and tensioner and she is running sweet. The bill will be big, but cheaper than having to buy a replacement. Good examples of the classic Impreza Turbo are rare and don't come cheap.

Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a ****head. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig ****, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig".

Does it basically mean its been dumbed down? A lot of headlights need setting again as they dazzle people.

Since the adoption of Hid and LED lights we get quite a few people mention that they get flashed.
But when you check out the beam it's at the lowest level accepted by MOT.

OK Well now it's just a bit lower but it's maybe just enough.
I'm not sure if I'll bother lowering the Pulsars beam as it's only a few D1cks insist on giving the full beam!

I wonder how much one of the other teams paid for that.

Showing my 1 year old niece family photos on an iphone and watching in amazement as she swipes left and right to see the different photos :o

She can't even walk yet but she can use an iphone. Scary and amazing at the same time

Not having to fork out for a new tyre for my car, after ATS man checked the alloy rim and found it was leaking and corroded. Quick clean and sealant applied and its all good again.

Yesterday at South Tyne railway station Alston. The sign says "smoking on these premises is against the law" This is outside on the platform as the steam engine rolls up:p

The finale to The Night Manager. What a superb series.

I've always been a massive Hugh Laurie fan. Tom Hiddleston with his shirt off every week also brightened up Sunday nights. But you chaps got some to totty in Elizabeth Debicki too.

BBC do drama very well.
