i admire Lemmy a musition as he stuck the fingers up to the music isdutry and he will be sorley missed as one of the altimme greats. in my book he was one of the untouchaables. he never wanted to play bass but its what hawkwind wanted at the time so he stood up to the mark then took too many drugs got kicked out and the rest is history.

Four o'clock in the afternoon and I'm just about with it again. Feckin' fireworks went on to nearly 2am and the odd burst on and off till 4am. Add in random texts to Lady Poppy's phone which has a really loud alert tone and I got sod all sleep. Minor migraine this morning as a result which is finally abating. Time to set up the new external hard drive so I have more secure backup for me piccies.

Last of the Chrimbo guests are now on their way home. Finally, time to relax and just slob out in front of the TV and catch up on all the shizz I normally watch during the week. Hissing it down with rain so not much else to be done until I head back to the office on Monday.

Hope that you all had a lovely holiday, we are now deep into revision for AS mocks, and shock horror he has actually opened some books for revision. We are already debating whether we should go on a long weekend in February or should we stay home or a good competition with youngest and his horse, really don't know what to do, he is 15 and we have a huge amount of years after he has left us, do we give now or trust in our future?

This. If he works hard and has earned it a competition will do him good. And you're right - you will have plenty of time for holidays once you have an empty nest and investing in them at this age is time well spent that you'll never get back.

Ow, ow, ow.... Why did I think it was a good idea to dig out compost bins four and five, sieve it all and dig it in to the veggie beds? My back hurts now. Might just try a medicinal G'n'T to see if that helps. I was hoping to turn bins one, two and three and in the process see if I could kill the blasted rat that's living in them but decided the twinges were a sign to let the thing live another week.

Easier said than done but it sounds like you need to change jobs. As I contract now I can look forward to leaving anywhere that treats me like that. My last role was such a drive away it was drive-work-drive-sleep for five days a week and I was a zombie by Friday morning. Was almost pleased to hear I'd done a great job setting up the new processes and they would take it from here. Current role is just ten miles away and I have time to go to the gym now and still get home at a sensible time.

It's more just circumstances at the moment. My car has failed its MOT and continues to fail, so I'm getting up at 5am to get two buses to work, and working overtime to pay for the car repairs and insurance so it can sit in the garage doing nothing. As well as some xmas dept and holiday sleep schedule. And I have the cold just now.

It's just a pretty crappy time in general

4 caffeine pills, a can of monster, 2 paracetamols and 2 ibuprofen seems to be keeping me awake so far today

It had a new exhaust system two months ago, that cat failed the mot, so they put a new one on under warranty, then that one failed too. So the garage were trying everything else thinking it couldn't possibly be the cat. Then when they were all out of ideas, they tried a pattern-part cat and it passed fine. The sports cats were the problem, they weren't helping the emissions at all
