Had any problems?

I always do

My mesh jacket all the material fell apart, my summer gloves got a hole in them after 6 months, my Torrent jacket the zip on the lining after 1 day! my new Torrent jacket has been good so far as have my vision gloves, just wish the visor wipe was better

Nope, no problems.

Other than having to buy a rediculous size to fit the beer belly which was slightly depressing, lol.

I like Richa and am proud of it XD
I got arlness gloves me luffs them

I don't deny there are good makes out there. I have had HG leathers since day 1 and I actually came off in said leathers and they saved my ass whole sale!

I had crappy £25 gloves when I was hit and they were wrecked, luckily I didn't try stop with them. I now have some nice Weise gloves with Knox SPS on them and they are amazing and were on sale @ £50 down from £80.

Whatever fits you best, protects you and you like is what matters

cool name tony (sorry took a while)

Cheers Lily, it is OK. The name came to me today. I don't even know anyone called Leana, ha ha

I don't like to be all black. Gives the driver that lame excuse "I just didn't see you."

Everyone see white boots! Although, at the moment I am riding around with a bright orange hi-viz vest one, ha ha

I know what you mean dude, but, I always want to try and be seen by everyone I can. Atleast the majority of my leathers are black, I could have bought a white pair, but, that is too far even for me, ha ha

I spent two hours getting all the oil and grease off the swingarm and rear wheel. This bike has had a hard life it would seem. Next job is all the panels off for a clean inside and in the gaps... Roll on a sunny Saturday (Sunday is my riding day when it is wamr, ha ha)

TheOnlyNemesis

TheOnlyNemesis
07-02-10, 10:49 PM
lol, yeah it was luck and i know i should wear proper trousers but they so difficult to fit into everyday life with uni and stuff, that it's easier to just wear jeans.

Holdup
07-02-10, 10:50 PM
Kevalar jeans then, you can still wear them as norm jeans

Dave20046
07-02-10, 10:50 PM
kevlar jeans? (pricey though)

TheOnlyNemesis
07-02-10, 10:51 PM
Have been thinking of some of them, atm if i go on a proper ride, I'll wear my textiles but they have a thermal lining i can't remove and they are really thick so to wear them for a short ride to uni and then have to carry them round all day or pre heat my balls to 500 degrees is just annoying.

Holdup
07-02-10, 10:52 PM
they even do them in black

TheOnlyNemesis
07-02-10, 10:53 PM
Do they do them in baggy black, not a tight fit fan, lol

Tonight i shall be mainly in a cold, crammed work shop, freezing my danglies off, swearing lots and trying to fix my bike :thumright:

Milky Bar Kid
08-02-10, 01:32 PM
I think I shall need to do a few emergency stops, front brakes seem a lil bit sticky. Bike hasn't been used that much this year since they we dismantled and cleaned.

Holdup
08-02-10, 01:35 PM
Whip the calipers off and make sure they're all clean and free moving

I know how to put the key in...and to put fuel in.....that is as far as it goes. I am not mechanically minded....

Holdup

Key, fuel, what about starting and riding it and changing gears and braking? :p

I will try the few emergency stops first off, they may just need freed up a bit from sitting for a couple of months. If they still don't feel right I will get my uncle to strip them again.

Holdup
08-02-10, 01:41 PM
What was done last time they were stripped? seals etc?

Milky Bar Kid
08-02-10, 01:43 PM
My uncle said he had them totally stripped and cleaned - pins and all.

Holdup
08-02-10, 01:44 PM
fair enough

Milky Bar Kid
08-02-10, 01:51 PM
My uncle had it totally stripped before its MOT last year, oil anf filter change, new brake fluid, calipers stripped etc etc.

Viney
08-02-10, 02:08 PM
I think I shall need to do a few emergency stops, front brakes seem a lil bit sticky. Bike hasn't been used that much this year since they we dismantled and cleaned. You could always go down the shops get a can of brake cleaner and give the claipers a bit of a squit, round the pads, and if you can see them, the pistons, this will take any gungy residue off them. Its aclohol based so will evaporate. once done just ride round the block carefully and all should be well again.

Smudge
08-02-10, 02:27 PM
cold weather makes my brakes snappy as ive still got oem hoses

Milky Bar Kid
08-02-10, 02:39 PM
I just went a wee run and gave the front brake a good bit of usage. It certainly seems ok now.
