My gripe?
My son leaving his coat at a swimming pool. Not the local pool though. One that added 50 miles to my commute.

It's the original from 2010. They're known to be weak, just annoyed cos I really needed the bike!
Looks like I'll be splashing the cash on the Tiger, battery plus chain and sprockets now required.

I ordered some stuff on-line from a site I have used before, but forgot to update the address to my new house... The DPD tracker reports my parcel is refused (because of my old address) but the fecker knows where I live and it is only just round the corner (maybe a 2 minute walk). He was an awkward fecker buying my old house and continues to meet my low opinion of him.... :smt068

Imagine the delivery was damaged or incomplete though. Major extra hassle if he'd accepted it for you.

I forgot to tell the cats that I was going into work late so they woke me up at the same time as the alarm would normally have gone off. If I tell them I want a lie in they don't wake me. Also one of them didn't like his dinner tonight so went out, caught a mouse and put it, still wriggling, on my foot while I was eating my dinner. It's like a little protest about being fed Whiskas when he wanted Sheba. Grrr.

Being stuck in a hotel miles away from home when something goes wrong at home! Out little girl is in hospital again after febrile convulsions yet again...tried to manage temp with paracetamol and ibuprofen since this morning but she reached 41C at 8pm so it was time for the paramedics. She's settled now asleep in her hospital bed with 38c and blood tests are clear. I just feel so helpless! Just grateful of the NHS yet again!
Edit: sorry, sounds needy! All is okay, just needed to vent somewhere and thought of the org lol!

Yep, using a virtual DVD/CD drive is great.
I use one on my media centre & my hacked Wii, where all the games are backed up onto a USB drive. Saves burning out the Wii DVD drive, which gets overly hot when playing for extended periods.

Don't be afraid to take a notebook in and write down what the doc says, then MacMillan can help explain it all afterwards. Sometimes you start hearing all those terms and jargon and your mind goes blank. Afterwards you think of all the questions you wished you'd thought to ask.

I've actually been taking my mum whos abit more medically minded than me, but its a shock to both of us so we both do forget to ask things.
What i will say folks, is do get things checked if you arent sure.
I've had this painless lump in my neck for probably 10 months tbh, completely painless n what not. Went in to the doctors last September and got referred straight away. The hospital were abit slow on the uptake IMO and i only got the biggest one taken out 2 weeks ago. Still thinking nothing of it, i mean, im 22, fit and healthy, people dont get cancer at 22, im not that unlucky. but uh, yeah they do it seems.

I'm selling a car on ebay. Why do folks keep sending cash offers? Just place a bid - it's not hard. Instead of making a cash offer, just put that in as your max bid and there's no effort involved whatsoever.

The best are the emails where they tell you what they think the car is worth and why you wont get anywhere near the reserve.

Never use webuyanycar.com. My partner was offered £800 for her immaculate 98 model Nissan 200SX. She advertised it for £3500 on Pistonheads and within a week, she had 5 people interested including one who was going to come over from NI with a trailer. Three no shows but the first to actually come to look at the car agreed to buy it at the full price. She may have priced it too low.

Yes, but that's how their business model works, buy cheap, sell high. Its for those who are desperate (or foolish) to sell quickly.
The same will apply to any webuyany.com company
Webuyanycar.com actually made me a very reasonable offer - unfortunately the same day, the car started making a nasty noise from the engine and I dared not drive it anywhere in that condition, and of course they don't take broken cars.
webuyanycar is for the lazy person who knows nothing about cars, these people would be part exchanging their cars anyway as selling a car privately would be too daunting/time consuming.
If you compare what they offer compared to main dealers trade in prices they are comparable.
They've been around for years so they must be a lot of people using them.
People like my Dad who sold his MX5 for £100! I shed a tear when he told me what he'd done, that would have made a lovely track toy.
