Yes £82.24 because a stone has holed my headlight lense. Of course Triumph don't sell the glass only. you need to buy the whole assembly...

Try wrecking a new rear tyre by running over a stone and destroying the carcass, or riding over a stone and shooting a hole straight through your radiator, they are a menace and someone should ban stones, all of them. One gets me every year. Actually they got me twice last year, chipped a new helmet and visor but I lived with that, shouldn't have been following so close, then the car hit me so I got a new helmet, not that any one has paid me yet!

For that you'd be better off getting a pair of Cibie lens/reflector units which will point the light where it is some use.
Sorry, Dean, forgot you don't ride in the dark ;)

Dry and cool I'll take.
Nice ride home.

Oh yes.
Yep, having a rear molar pulled on Friday, after repeated root canals the tooth split inside and although there's no pain I have an infection that needs to go! Teeth are such a nightmare!
How did it go today?

How did it go today?
Two syringes injected into my gum and it still fooking hurt A LOT (like all over body pain) ripping that rear molar out! The tooth broke in two and I swore in front of the nice assistant...it's done now, no real pain, just weird having a bloody great hole in my gum...5 days of salt water rinsing now and I hope longer term it's workable...

Going to the pub with colleagues to watch James Anderson become England's leading run scorer on TV. Staying there several hours longer than planned. Having wine forced down my neck while we watched. Giving up on seeing Jimmy take that wicket and shambling off to the station. Then seeing on Twitter that Jimmy took the wicket just after I left the pub and I missed it. And I'll probably have a headache tomorrow. Grrrr.

And you with the MCC an' all
Tooth is 95% out. The tooth was protruding into the sinus cavity in the upper jaw and the root broke and slipped a little deeper into the cavity. Being referred to hospital to have the last nibblet taken out.
kaivalagi
20-04-15, 06:41 PM
Ouch, hope it gets sorted proper!
Well the nibblet is blocking the hole into the sinus at the mo. The tooth was knackered anyway with sharp bit. Its out but it made a hell of a crack with the root went. TBH, after the eighth injection nothing really hurt. Just lots of pulling and twisting.

One good sneeze would clear that ;)
Yeah, I was thinking that. Been warned not to sneeze or cough too hard.
Well been to see the consultant. If they can't get it out via the socket, then they will need to drill a hole in the side of my jaw and poke it out that way.

A proper Japanese santoku, razor sharp and utterly fantastic to use.
My gripe is, when your dog begs for food whilst you're chopping with that feckin knife, it takes the end of your finger and nail off without pause. Just don't tell the family why the tomato sugo was so red!

We'll they'll knock you out for that.
when i had my jaws moved, they held the top jaw in place with metal plates.
One of the plates came loose, so they took it out, but one of the little screws fell into my sinus cavity and they couldn't fish it out. X ray confirmed it was in there
so i would have had to go through what you might need to have done. But i was in the ward waiting for them to decide what they wanted to do. I leant forward to pick something up from the floor, some goop came out of my nose and sinus, including the missing screw :smt114

They said they may not. It would be uncomfortable but do-able. Bricking it isn't the right word right now!
maviczap
21-04-15, 07:37 PM
I wouldn't be bricking it, if it sits in the sinus cavity I can't do much harm, and it won't hurt to have it taken out either, uncomfortable doesn't mean painful.
Painfull is an abscess under the tooth, which needs strong pain killers.
stupid abscess is what started all this off! Must admit, I think I have had them before and not realised what they were and ignored them. I've had a bone marrow test done so this shouldn't be too bad!

Good afternoon all,
My gripe of the day, car drivers who seem to think that "sorry mate i didn't see you" makes everything ok.
I was wearing my full floresent jacket and my nautilus air horn was giving it the beans and i still ended up on the middle of a round about.
Stay safe.
Hopefully you are ok. Then!!
Drivers who turn left on a "no left turn" junction, drive straight across a pelican crossing with a green man showing, and then shout at you for getting in the way. I was on foot.

Mandatory CBTs on Sarbanes-Oxley compliance which are completely irrelevant for technical support personnel. Not just once, but every few months. I hate to think how many man-hours are wasted forcing everyone to go through this rubbish time after time.

You can add truck drivers who see you coming from their right on a roundabout, and just pull out anyway because it won't hurt them if you end up under their back wheels.

Adverts using classic tunes that shouldn't be messed about with. The latest style is a girl singing the song slowly in a slightly husky voice. This isn't the first of its kind. Its an angry song, not a soppy car advert song

I once had a convo with a coach driver who explained its because coaches and lorries tend to rely on a massive turbo in a small engine, relatively speaking. The lag is soooooo long that they either have to commit to pulling out before the gap has reached them, or they miss the gap.
Ever since then I've tried to allow for them trying to preempt the gap and allow for the lag.

They have, it's called the contraceptive pill. Several of my friends wives and girlfriends have forgotten to take this magic pill thus resulting in a condition called childbirth, a side effect of which is the male of the family never being allowed out on the lash again which prevents hangovers very effectively.

My own gripe.
Job adverts that have a website "apply now" button but no name on the page so you cannot get hold of a person to tell them WHY you're a good fit for the role. You can be the best thing since sliced bread (which I am, obvs!) but if they don't like the format of your CV then they don't bother reading it. How the hell are these people every going to get the right person for the vacancy if they don't talk to them?!
