What the radiator?
its been replaced, so the cars ready. I can't complain, its the biggest bill for a non service item since I've had this car.
so should be good for a few more miles now.
better start saving for its replacement though.
Got a week off, weather is meant to be fine, wake up get all excited about going for a run out.
Take a peek outside, looks good.
Go get washed and showered etc, come back and a bits darker.
That's odd I thought, oh well let's crack on.
2 mins later hacking it down a treat 😒
Oh how inconvenient
Shame. Its lovely hear.... ;)

Shame the picture is posted in the middle of a paragraph about irresponsible, reckless riders :rambo:
As if that's typical of older riders.
This quote is interesting: "Since 2004, about 90% of the casualties have been men"
Does that reflect the fact that 90% of riders are men? Cos if 95% of the riders are men, that doesn't look good for the girlies...:smt064
"Born again' bikers
The "born again" bikers seem to be becoming somewhat of a public health problem as middle aged (and older) men take to the roads again on ever increasingly powerful vehicles but with possibly rusty riding skills. This is important in framing new policy towards rider training and licensing which to date has focused on younger riders and less powerful machines and which has assumed a continuity of motor cycle use.
Fatal accidents often involve the motorcycle running off the road (41% of fatalities). These are often late at night, weekend crashes involving a drunken motorcyclist (Preusser et al 1995).
As solo accidents without collision with another vehicle account for only a small proportion of total accidents, it appears that impairment has a much more deadly effect on motorcyclists than simply rider fault."
Makes for worrying reading

Sore butt, shoulder, leg.
Stood on top of the step ladders fixing in place the facia board on the front of Lynne's love shack when I felt the steps moving as I was tightening the G clamp holding said board in place. I reach out and try to grab the roof as the steps collapse, fail.
Lands in heap on the deck. fortunately feet first, then butt, shoulder
A second later the barge board lands on my leg. Ouch.
The legs of the aluminium (note correct spelling Bill!) steps have bent sideways and the link chain split. Whilst I could bend them back I will write them off I don't want to go through that again.
It was only about a 6ft fall, but not nice and thank god the following board hit my leg and not head.

Why in gods name do cage drivers always tell bikers that someone has died at the weekend while they were riding their bike?
Is it just me that finds this slightly annoying? Should I start telling them about everyone thats died in their car just in case they know them?
Um and chances are that a cage was involved in the collision......

Happy thoughts until I thought about pipes under the slab.... and realised the drawings show the kitchen waste in completely the wrong place! BT. I know it's been said on here before but my "free" BT Sport has just become £5 per month. No notice, just there on the bill. Phoned to complain and was offered downgrade to their Light package for free but that does not include BT Sport 2 and of course Moto GP is on 2. I only moved to BT Broadband to get Moto GP and I'll not be paying £60 to watch one programme, every other weekend during the summer. Barstewards.
Trev, this has cropped up a couple of times. Can't remember if on the org or another forum. Has you bt package recently come out of its original 12/18/24 month contract?
If so, you may be able to get it free again by renewing it for a further 12/18/24 months.

My nose is annoying me. I feel perfectly well, yet it's been streaming for 24 hours like I've got a head cold. Antihistamines have made no difference, and I don't usually get hay fever so don't know what what to do other than take cold relief meds and hope that helps. Or stick a tampon up each nostril but I may get funny looks on the train.

I was told that taking cold meds only make things worse, as they open up the bits that produce the mucus.

I'd been really looking forward to Cazza's birthday ride. I'd baked cake and everything. Then didn't sleep on Saturday night as I'd been feeling poorly, but no matter, me and Stu had always planned to meet at the lunch stop so we took the car instead. Only to get caught up in a big accident on the A12 where 2 cars and a motorbike with female rider collided. Air ambulance, 3 fire engines, 5 casualties, and the road closed for several hours. So I got as far as Brentwood before having to head home. No one got any cake, we didn't get to see everyone so it was very frustrating.
But the most annoying thing was this is exactly what happened last year too. A12 closed, stuck in traffic for hours, no cake made it to Cazza. It's like the world has decided I'm never going to get her birthday cake to her!

Impatient idiots in scrapyard dodging little vans trying to jump the queue on a narrow, windy, very busy single carriageway road. We ALL want to get past Farmer Palmer and his overloaded tracor and trailer so don't get shouty when I finally get a gap just big enough and there isn't enough room for you too. The poor sod in the Saab coming the other way looked like the weasels in Who Framed Roger Rabbit when you nearly collided head on with him (his "OH MY GOD!" wide eyes seemed to fill the whole windscreen) and it was pointless sitting millimeters off my bumper for the next three miles as you could see I was then stuck behind a dawdling pickup with a solid line of oncoming cars. As someone who lost his rifles then pistols over the UK knee jerk reactions to gun ownership, I would caution those in the US to be careful what they ask for.
We who were the legal responsible gun owners in the UK said at the time that if guns were made illegal, only criminals would have them. Yes, there are still plenty of guns around if you know where to ask. But they are not being given up simply because it is an offense to own them.

Be careful what you wish for, you might just get no gun massacres since 2010.
They May not be being given up but they're also not being used in schools and against TV reporters, I'd call that a win. Especially due to the lack of wolves and bears in England they'd be useful protection against.
