Other people in Sainsburys. Empty isle, the honey I wanted was on a lower shelf so I have to bob down to choose a "normal" variety (as in not Japenese Knotweed and Orange Blossom ) when I suddenly find a trolley right beside my ear. And I mean RIGHT up against it. Tutting middle aged woman glaring at me so I get up and move aside. She snatches some Cinamon and Builders Bucket or similar bottle from the middle shelf and strolls on muttering "**** head" loud enough for most of the people around to hear. I don't normally do such things but I enjoyed shouting after her about how rude was and how most people like to hear the words please and thank you when one would like to get past. Could have gone either way but thankfully everyone else was smirking at her.
No wonder I try to get through places like that early on a Saturday before they get busy...
I avoid shopping on the weekend for food. Lucky it wasn't Waitrose or they would have had the butler kicking you!

The **** on a GSXR750 on the A12 this afternoon. Came past us at about 100mph in the fog, caught him at the Copdock interchange traffic lights, where he proceeded to wheelie away from, not very well either.
Black visor, so he wouldn't see much in the fog

Took the battery out to charge it, blew the main fuse putting it back in.
That's alright, I'll swap in the spare.
Blew that putting it in.
Now got to walk to a motor spares shop.
Bloody previous owner replaced the battery with one that can go in the writing by way round!!! I should have worn my specs when I put it back in!!!!!!!
Parcel Farce again .. seems everyone in the royal mail group is teflon coated. ( if I hear the phrase 'we're not the same company' despite taking parcels and sending them on I going to go nuts)
There's one company to lose the parcels, then there's another company to answer the phones and tell you that they're not the same company :p

Fog lights .... or lack thereof... Daylight Running lights with no rear Lights and tw**s that rely on auto sensing lights because they are too stupid/lazy to turn a switch
Fog lights when visibility is in excess of 100 meters.
No need
Rule 226
You MUST use headlights when visibility is seriously reduced, generally when you cannot see for more than 100 metres (328 feet). You may also use front or rear fog lights but you MUST switch them off when visibility improves (see Rule 236).
Law RVLR regs 25 & 27
Rear foglights when there is no fog and there is a steady stream of traffic doing no more than 40.

And on that note FOG!
I have been riding in about 5m of visibility this week. My ride to work consists of areas where I often ride through cloud even on reasonably clear days so my journey at the moment is well and truly fogged...

I smile to think of a (at the time) family friend tax inspector, who used to take turn with my parents to drive for Saturday nights out.
He was a PITA for turning on his high intensity rear lights. One day mr Plod stopped him and advised him of the law. Compliant he turned them off and drove off. Unknown to him, Mr plod was a couple of hundred yards behind when a mile down the road he turned them back on again.
The resulting stop was not for words of advice...
Went out last night and attached a bag on the back of the bike with a bungee for the first time. Now the rear left indicator doesn't work. Bulb is OK and so are the connectors. As that is the limit of my expertise, the bike is off to my mechanic friend tomorrow. More expense!

Leaving work on time because you are tired, but getting the bus with the lovely guys from another department who invite you along for a drink, you say 'no I'm a bit tired, I'll be sensible and head home'. Two hours later you are still stuck on a packed, hot, non-moving train because the one in front broke down and thinking about that nice glass of wine you could be drinking in the pub.

He'd just had an anaesthetic injection in his poorly leg as a trial to see if snipping a nerve would help him. It only lasts 6 hours, so I was supposed to take him for a walk to see if it was any better. I didn't even make it to the park to observe him - although being dragged home at a pace I haven't seen him move at for quite some time I suppose is a good sign!

Have your bag stolen in which you have bank cards, a purse with £400 and your PINs for the cards written on a piece of paper.
Then claim that each bank account for which the cards work has £85,000 in it. Add in the proof of address and the car keys with the reg number on a tag.
THEN demand a black cab to get you home. (Sorry we only do minicabs here)
And then! Get this. Try and recharge the return journey when you have your spare keys?!??!?

Walking to the news that Jonah Lomu had died. I know little about rugby, even though I do sometimes meet the players including the All Blacks through work.
But he was one of those sports people who everyone knew. He was amazing to watch, like an 18 stone bulldozer with an Olympic sprinter's ability.
And his transplant raised awareness of organ donation. They played an interview with him on the radio this morning talking about how the transplant had allowed him to see his children grow up. Sadly this was only last year, but he sounded like he was cherishing every day with them.

Why did I end up more p***ed off than I started the day?
Cars! Mainly my flamming range rover.
In 15 months its had;
Full recon gear box
Crank sensor
New seal on air compressor
3 new brake calipers and flexi pipes
Full set of pads and new front discs
New thermostat
Then Sunday on the way to Newark autojumble the water pump decided it wanted off
Managed to pull over before it over heated thankfully. £120 recovery as I forgot to renew b/down cover, then quotes of £450 + to change the pump!
Had it changed in 6 hours with help from a mate + £150 in new parts and we did it ourselves. Even had to make a tool to take off the fan! Including slipping my mate a few quid for helping me out I halved the garage quote so not the end of the world but £400 out of pocket just b4 Christmas isnt fun.

More annoyed about having to go back next Saturday than the failure. Still have a week and a half left on my old MOT so no dramas this time and it will be nice not to have to put up with the tightspot in the chain crunching round the front sprocket at low speeds.

SouthWest Trains, again. On my way to Spanherman's to pick up the GSX-F after it's annual caressing they changed their minds every two minutes about when the train to Sunbury would be leaving, how delayed it was, which services were cancelled, how many broken leaves had disrupted things earlier in the day, how sorry they were, which station the train I was on was actually terminating, if there was a bus replacement to get me to Sunbury, when the next train was due, if that was cancelled or not, how close did I get to stomping off to get a taxi, oh there's the next train now without any notice... I don't normally have too much to complain about, but today council really got on my goat and a couple of them got a courteous spray... low tone and no f or c bombs which was more courtesy than they deserved considering the stupidity...
First thing this morning a council enforcer (aka compliance officer) was banging on my back door demanding proof of dog registration. A cop can't even enter a property the way she did without a court issued warrant...
The lunacy... my dog is registered in no less than three states, six councils/shires (make that seven), three in this state and five of them are life time tags and one is the next council over. His rego is to the satisfaction of state legislation... but noooo... each council has to have their own layer of by-laws which they'll spend millions in court enforcing just to leach another $100 from the rate payer because a dog spent two weeks in their area. From the horses mouth... that money (exorbitant for 12 months btw - his life time tags were half that) is used for compliance enforcement. Gaaah!
Any normal right minded person would think they could pick a tag, any tag, there's plenty to choose from and make a phone call if he happens to get picked up...
It has got to the point where I need to remove most of his tags and put them on my key chain, swapping them as required... otherwise the poor little beggar (he's less than 5kg) is dragging around eight tags including one with my personal contact, plus a microchip which he got in a shire that doesn't even own a chip reader(!) just to keep the idiot bureaucracies happy.
my super power of invisibility when waiting to be served has miraculously reappeared. Wouldn't have been so bad but I had a bright blue helmet on :)

Cars that have brakes that don't work properly, but only at traffic lights.
These are the cars that roll 3 or 4 feet ahead of the stop line. I can only assume the brakes work when they park in front of a wall.

Why didn't they need these last time they made me an offer which I accepted then they just didn't pay?! Or before it went to court the first time?! Grr
do you still have proof of the offer? if so then tell them to pay up as it should have been in the conditions of the offer. if this matter is going to court then tell them you will see them there or pay up before the court hearing.
btw, out of court offers are shizz. if you go to court they have to pay expenses and hire a solicitor which costs them an arm and a leg and if you win they have to pay all the court fees as well. judges hate insurance companies with a passion and once you establish that you were offered and accepted an OOCS and they failed to redeem or change the conditions of that settlement judges usually go ballistic as they are wasting court time.
