Helicopters. Especially when they fly over my house at 5:30 on a Saturday. Gits.
On the plus side I am up, dressed, fed and I've ironed all my shirts for next week. I can also be in town to get a few things for dinner tonight and pick up my dry cleaning before the place becomes a sea of rude idiots who roam about with nothing better to do with their heads down looking at their phones instead of where they're going.
My proper gripe: Nicky Morgan
Cast aside her horrible squirming and misleading BBC QT performance. If you thought Michael Gove was a nasty Education Secretary then think again. In one week Nicky Morgan has been in the driving seat when every remaining state run school has been told they will have no choice. They will have all their funds handed to private enterprise and publicly accountable bodies will no longer deliver education. But to better that, she then announces that parents of students will have no say in the running of their schools. Parent governors will no longer exist.
In one week all public accountability for schools in England has been removed. No national curriculum, no national pay arrangements, no accountability.
How undemocratic.
But at least we get a referendum on Europe.
Remember, ""War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength."

I must be an angry man this week.
Car drivers.
The one who pulled out on a roundabout on me and squashed me between his car and the island. He saw fit to ignore me as I yelled, screamed, revved and fought to get out of his mess.
The one who saw fit to flash his lights repeatedly because I braked sharply in the outside lane of a dual carriageway in front of him. Might have had something to do with the National Express coach that moves from lane 2 to 3 without indication. Clearly Mr Audi thinks I pop the back end out on dual carriageways for the hell of it.
The upside is that the tyres are being changed Tuesday any ways.
Knee locked up and fell down the stairs.
Plus side they removed the bit that caused it.

The aversion to indicators, I really struggle to understand why car drivers just dont use them.
The other day in the asda car park, I'm trying to exit, as I get on the exit road I can see a Mini on the left, full right lock, no indicators and no brake light to suggest shes parking (She was also stationary) I carry on my cautious approach, I decide to overtake while checking to see if there's anyone in the car, as I'm alongside she springs into life, nearly hits me then blames me. I stop, tell the other half to get off the bike, I go over and say "Please explain how that was my fault", and I get "You could see I was trying to turn" and I said "Oh yeah, cos you had your indicator on didnt you?" she looks puzzled, tells me to F off and walks off into the asda, undoubtedly to destroy people's heels with a trolley for an hour.
Louder horn! Leave the oh I don't like to seam like I'm aggressive hang up in the garage.

or even Stebel Nautilus but it's close enough for google.
They seem to be hard to come by these days. I had one and it only lasted 12 months. I couldn't find a replacement at a sensible price, so I replaced it with a blatant copy of the same design, which is still going.

Saying goodbye to 2 colleagues who are both leaving the UK. One will be back here in 6 months, tree other who I'm fond of is gone for good but I've just promised I'll visit him. He's moving to a very scenic part of South Africa and owns a few bikes there, and he's going to be living in a vineyard running a steak restaurant. It's not the worst offer I've had.
Sounds like an Org rideout LPH.

People who come into work full of flu. Person I worked with in small shop came in yesterday coughing everywhere telling me how he hadn't been able to get out of bed for the last few days. Then spent 8 hours coughing and sneezing over me. Thanks for that, I'll be getting ill in the next few days too then.. plus I'm self emplyed so no sick pay.. he's basically just given me illness and cost me a few days wages. AAargh!
Same here, I hate those martyrs who will come into work and infect the rest of us - being in an underground office means there's pretty much no chance of avoiding bugs!
To be fair though, our sick policy at work has been tightened up so much that people are afraid to take time off ill for fear of disciplinary action
Same here, no sick pay at work and limited staff so always fletcher obliged to crawl in to work
it gets worse when the sproglets get sent to school as the parents cant / wont look after them which in turn sends their diseases around the school reinfecting all and sundry who come into contact with said sproglets and friends.
Oh the joy of being a human in the 21st century
grrr things coming in threes ... waiting for my third hit to the wallet today :(
Looking out of the window this morning after the storm to see that a 15m section of our back fence is leaning and only held upright by adjacent uprights. Two uprights uprooted.

Its up there with the word "Rare". Or if you own a VW Camper then adding Westfalia to anything doubles the price.

As Tim Wilky, cars parked right across the pavement so you can only just walk past. No chance with a wheelchair or buggy. Also cars and vans that park across end of our drive when there is plenty of room to park past the end or in the neighbours garden who they are visiting!

Indeed, there wasn't any info on my HDMI sellers page, I didn't pay any attention to the delivery date until I checked my order status.
I guess it was sent by overland shipping, which meant it arrived in on one of the giant container ships at Felixstowe, in one of thousands of containers. The voyage is about 4 weeks.
So Adam, I can always check the status of your order by the ships going past my window. :jocolor:

People who comment on how to bring up your children.
If they hadn't already noticed it was a challenge. If they also hadn't noticed one of the children was a respite care Downs Syndrome child with far end autism spectrum, so the request for the woman to keep her opinions to herself was the warning before I blew my lid.
"My children don't behave like that" wasn't a wise thing for her to say.

Worked from home waiting for PC Plod to come round. Told there's pretty much no chance of recovery because there's a thriving market in older bikes for spares in Eastern Europe. So even scruffy old Speed Fours are worth stealing.

Took the SV off the Abba stand today to squeeze in a quick half hour ride (mostly to get fuel) and got back to put it away and can't work out how Abba stand fitted. I'm guessing the adaptor in the right hand side arm might have remained in the bike when I took it off and then fell out somewhere on the quick ride. There's no way that side will fit in the bike without somehting in there and I can't remember what it looked like. No sign of it nearby or in the garage so looks like I'll have to buy a replacement adaptor kit. Only about the third time I've used the stand too. Damn!

Quite a common thing to happen, either stick it in place with grease, or buy some of them little round crank/pedal magnets on ebay, super strong which will keep the adapter in place.
or buy the swingarm removal adapter kit, which bolts to one of the footrest points, then you'll never loose the adapter

I went to a very swanky black tie dinner last night. After the dinner I was staying in the same hotel as a couple of cricketer mates so we hit the bar (I wasn't on the booze though). I decided that I'd head to bed at the same time as my mate's mum, that'd give me a good excuse not to be up too late as I had to be up early for work.
I hadn't banked on her being the Keith Richards of cricketing mothers. At nearly 3am I admitted defeat and headed to bed. What has become of me that I can't manage to stay up later than my mate's mum. Felt rubbish and tired all day despite a decent fry up this morning too.

Thanks for the offer. Amazingly though I drove off to take the kids swimming this evening still in a grump about it and took the same road out that I rode earlier. I'd looked before just in case, but this time the sunset was at just the right angle to glint on the metal piece at the side of the road half way there! Couldn't believe my luck! Adam Ef, I did just this, I never found mine but was able to knock something up at work.
My simple bodge which so far works fine, I used electrical tape to hold it in the cups of the stand.
Simply put the adaptor in and wrapped over the join.
A blob of silicon would hold it in.
