At the bottom of escalators there are lists of what's on each floor. What it doesn't tell you is that some escalators go up 2 floors at a time. You can't tell until you're half way up and sailing past the floor you wanted. Ffs

I heard that the reason aus choc tastes rank is because they use palm oil (not impressed - think of the orang utangs) to ensure it doesn't melt in the heat. Maybe similar in the us?

Hmm... not met any Americans who have tried UK chocolate didn't think it was better.
American chocolate tastes as if it was made with greasy water vs. UK chocolate which tastes as if it's made with rich creamy milk.
American chocolate also has a subtle bitter taste despite any amount of sugar added.
It is rubbish compared to chocolate in the UK.
Let's be honest. Almost all food in the UK is better than American food because of all of the preservatives added and also because milk is pasturized differently.

Working at willy wonkas for six years, I knew rather a lot about chocolate.... Like what 4 tons of liquid chocolate looks like on A floor at 3am.
American chocolate is naff. Unfortunately Kraft now own Cadbury, and its been turning more American each year since the takeover some years back. Yuk and manky
Hersheys just tastes like vomit combined with off milk.

One hand feeds the other. Food safety laws are driven by economic and political decisions (and lobbying) and vice versa.
Regulations, once the scourge of big agri-business are now being used to drive out the small producers, particularly in the US.

Cold calls - specifically the current ones coming from consumer lifestyle surveys. Getting somewhere between 4 - 8 calls from them everyday up to 11pm and they will not take no for an answer. They tell me that they are conducting a two minute survey and every time that I say no they just start the survey anyway. I ask them to stop and they carry on, I ask to speak to a supervisor and they just carry on or give me abuse, I ask to be removed from their calling list and they either carry on or give me abuse, some of them just hang up. Seriously getting fed up with these guys.

Mobile or landline?
On my mobile I save it as a new contact each time they ring, then block that contact. If they change their number, then I'll do the same.
If its a landline, I've submitted one of those those telephone preference things, although we still get the odd one or two. BT do a nuisance blocking phone, which is a bit more advanced. Not sure if it works for non BT contracts?

Pc games costing twice as much to download compared to getting a disc posted out. We're going backwards
Factored into the price of a physical copy is a profit for the retailer, many retailers forfeit this profit in order to increase traffic to their site or store.

Being evicted again.
I was kicked out of my plush office 10 years ago as I no longer worked for the site. My reporting stream was elsewhere and they were downsizing and had made no provision for me.
So after a few years working from home. It was discovered that I didn't have a home work contract and we had a new CIO who wanted everyone in an office. (Ideally in Paris) So I had to move into the local manufacturing site, where it was made clear I had nothing to do with the site and I was only tolerated as we all worked for the same company.
Well the part I work for is being taken over by a competitor of the site I work at and things between the two businesses entities are not amicable. A chat with my boss this morning has resulted in an recommendation to start emptying my office. but this time, as there is no other local site they will have to put in place the home working contract.
The two business HR depts are not talking about 2 people in the UK who just happen to be located on a site that is not going to the new business and my HR thinks my door pass will not work in a weeks time when I become part of the competition.
Why gripe. Because I feel I then need to justify what is known by some as taking the P155 when ever someone has working from home as their location status by doing 12 hour days.
Its a hard life after all.
Tired of hearing the need to have a diverse employment that represents the social demographic irrespective of skill, talent ect. If that were the case the chinese should be in represented everywhere.
Its funny the same rules dont apply to running the country. I would like parliament made up of people representative of the areas they stand for. Also they should be on the average wage of £26500, that way they can feel the full effect of their policies that get handed out to those families they talk about.

I know better than to send Mr LPH to do the weekly shop without everything on a list. I had assumed he'd get the staples, milk, bread, cat food etc. and my list would be the extra bits we only need occasionally like bin bags, foil - I ended up with donuts, jelly, beer, crisps, bacon and a DVD. I mentioned about 3 weeks ago that Alan Wilson the man who got me into American Football and was a mentor to lots of people died of a heart attack. Well yesterday I was given the horrible news that his wife died on Friday, she had collapsed on the day of his funeral and it turns out it was a serious aneurysm and she's never recovered. The other party have won their court appeal (judgment was made in my favour as they did not respond to court summons) so now the claim for my bike accident last year has to go back to court. They still do not contest liability, only that I'm claiming for excessive costs (like replacing my smashed in helmet). Literally most of the claim is now court/solicitor/hire bike fees and what I'm claiming for my accident in only about a 1/4 of this.

Put my stuff on the large one where the woman in front has just finished when she then decides it has made a mistake. she will not go to customer services and is refusing to pay until they check her 2 for 8 pound claim.
So after a couple of minutes I pack my stuff back in the trolley and off to a free small one.
It refuses to work for me, because I put my bag in place in order to load the stuff I scan. It worked ok when you had free plastic bags. But they are not there any more you have to bring your own and it doesn't like them there as it needs to weigh your stuff.

I had only popped in and couldn't afford the time as I had a meeting over lunch and simply needed a few bits in a hurry. No empty manned tills, self service ones were only ones without a queue. (now I know why)
Why do they only have minimal staff in these places? I would pay an extra quid or so to get immediate service. I want to pay and leave. Not queue looking at what the people in front of me are buying.

Cos then everyone would have to pay an extra pound, and everyone would go somewhere else instead.
Or you could have an express checkout where you pay a pound because you're in a hurry but that's a big can of worms for the supermarket. And it would only get full of old slow rich people anyway.

Those cowardly illegitimate sons of ****** (You sensing a theme here?)
Who for no reason drive down a cul-de-sac in order to turn round (Why?) and decide to reverse into the side of my car parked overnight outside my house and in the finest tradition of the scroat bugger off without saying a word, knocking on a door etc.
Nice surprise for me when I got up this morning. Wheel arch repair required, been to tame body shop where I get the labour free, so materials only bill.
