The dirty, slovenly sh1tebags who think it's okay to lob their rubbish into the verges and the road sides around here. A large part of it is locals too. There is one particular alcoholic scumbag who heaved cheap crap beer cans out of their car windows every day. On my walk with the dog this morning I counted around 20 Carlsberg and Carling cans thrown out and from the condition of them, all within the last week. On one section of the walk every 8 -10 paces there was a can, a plastic bottle, sweet wrapper, junk food container. We live in a fairly out of the way area, and while visitors certainly do chuck crap out into the scenery, most of this is locally generated. As for the farm waste - my walk was a trail of silage wrap in trees, the river, and hedges, feed tubs, fertiliser sacks, empty livestock medication bottles, and two rotting sheep carcasses. Very handy for spreading gid between the livestock. Custodians of the countryside eh?

But at present I would love to be able to pick up. Just taken Jasper and Jack out, 3 lots of bloody doggy diarrhea gushed out of Jasper, one on the pavement and the mobile chip van nearby gave me a bucket of disinfected water to swill it into the drain. Motor is working, but drum isn't turning. Belt is in place. Googled the problem, and it said it might be the starter capacitor which helps the motor to start the drum turning. Ive tried the simple test to see if this is the fault, and isn't.

Drum doesnt seem to want to turn, there's a lot of resistance.

Now it wasnt expensive, under £200, so do we call out our our friendly tech engineer or buy a new machine

Thanks EE, was looking after my Grandson last night and was up until 4AM. Luke is missing his Mum, but she has had to go away for the weekend for a family funeral and Dad had his best mates birthday and wanted to go out and do what young men do when the wife is away. Luke has also just started "head banging", repeatedly slamming his head against the mattress in his travel cot, which has freaked me out, but the internet says is perfectly normal. So I finally got to sleep at four AM and then get a sales text message from EE at seven AM on a Sunday morning that wakes me up. So thanks EE, you are a bunch of male chicken suckers! :-(

It is probably the bearing located at the center behind the drum.
Had to replace one in my lads dryer a few months ago.
Remove the belt if it will not spin freely it's the bearing.
Not to hard to replace but helps if you have an assistant when replacing the drum.
Parts should be around £35 and less than an hours work.

If you're going to pay someone else might be just as well off to get a new one at that price.

When you take away old units, as we do with our old refrigerators, you are not allowed to even break it for spares, can be quite annoying sometimes as we havevto send perfectly good units for scrap just because some designer does not like the colour, such a ridiculous waste.

I had something similar, got a very nasty letter from my insurer saying I had ingored all previous letters etc. When I rang them to query this fact they admitted they'd printed the first letter but never actually sent it!

And the worst part is the 'Have you ever had insurance declined/refused?' is pretty much the last question they ask when quoting you, hence why after 20 minutes of giving out details for a quote I was told 'oh, sorry we can't insure you'. Pfft!

Sons car insurance renewal, tesco bank £1016

just ran it through the comparison sites

£422, guess who?

Yes tesco bank.

Why oh why do they force existing customers to look elsewhere by a stupid renewal quote. It is just asking to loose a customer.

How silly of me, trying to book an appointment with a Doctor, that is any doctor, at my local surgery. Couldn't even get a over the phone consultation.

Unless it was a life threatening emergency, then ring 999

God help any poor pensioner phoning up, as the automated phone system they've installed would be a nightmare.

just booked to see mine on Tuesday morning.

On telephone, you have to call on the day, telephones open 15 mins after the surgery, so walk in grab the appointments.

On line, you can see all the slots for the week and grab the one of your choice in seconds without having to give reasons etc to get past a receptionist.
